What did you do to your Ram today???

I don't get these trucks honestly. I just can't seem to get the volume out of them that I did on my previous rams. I started with the Carven Cut & Clamp, which sounded good for the price, and would have been much improved with the weep holes plugged. Replaced that with the Corsa Sport that I had really high hopes for based on YouTube videos and cost. And the sound quality was really nice, but the volume was still really low. So then I got the resonator delete and the tone changed slightly, and maybe got some additional volume, but still not that loud. I even ran the truck straight out the resonator when doing the carven to corsa swap and was surprised that it was reasonably quiet.
I'd argue, of the three setups, the Carven was the loudest in cab, but the Corsa has the better sound quality.
I miss my Charger 392. That thing sounded perfect with simply a reso delete.

Here's a video I made comparing them.

Dude I know how you feel! My 2015 Challenger had an X pipe, 3” true duals from the cat-back with no resonators or mufflers and it was stupid loud! I can tell even if I did the exact same setup on this truck it wouldn’t be as loud. I think a lot of it just has to do with how long the exhaust system is and the flow path compared to the challenger/charger platform. I really think headers would be the only way to get it as loud as my challenger was (which I DONT want lol). And with the carven and resonators it droned a bit; but without the resonators it doesn’t at all!

The carven sounded nothing like the video on YouTube with the rebel. It’s a nice sound but nothing like the outlaw I had on my 4th Gen.

Really? I think my carven sounds very similar to their videos. Especially once I removed the resonators.

Can someone tell me the part number for the cold weather grill cover for a 2020 1500 Laramie EcoDiesel? I was originally told 82208646 but it says it's not correct when hitting the "check fit" button.

Was gonna post a picture of it cleaned up but decided to do a prewash at a local car wash to get some mud off the bottom and now I’m stuck because it won’t start. No idea what’s going on.

Installed the 'Chrome' front bumper plugs today. They look pretty decent from not too close. When you get close, you can see they don't shine like real chrome. But for me it is better than the four black holes that were there. Used Krylon Chrome look paint on the black plastic bumper plugs.

Sorry, didn't have time to wash her first, but you get the idea.

Or you could have gotten these at Home Depot, they're metal and they are chrome. They snap in the holes and look great. Plus no paint to chip off when those bugs hit them at 80MPH+

Can you explain what you mean by volume? Thanks.
Sure. I guess a better way to put it is decibels. The sound quality is there, it sounds like a V8, it is just very quiet.
I had QTP electric cut-outs on my '15 Challenger with the 5.7L Hemi, and when those things were open, man, that thing sounded like a monster. Unreasonably loud. Vibrated everything in the car. Drone for days. I installed a magnaflow just after the y-pipe on my 05 Ram with a 5.7L and that sounded like a drag car.
I pulled everything off this truck just past the first resonator (muffler, two rear resonators, and tips) and expected a similar level of volume when I started it. Nope. It's like they packed the headers with cotton.

Anyway, so that I am not too off topic, gave the truck a much needed wash yesterday. Took my mind off the big gashes/scratch I put in the bumper taking a dryer out at the dump.
And not too long ago tinted the tails, third brake light, and mirror indicator lights using products from Lamin-X and LuxeAutoConcepts. Fitment wasn't great, but I made it work.

Well didn't do anything today...however I did notice that I have some kind of security tire cable that is dangling from the spare tire.

Does anybody else have something similar? Im guessing that either I figure out a way to make it tighter, or just remove it all together. What do you think? As much as I want to keep that security feature, I really don't want it to get snagged on a rock or tree branch when I go offroad ( getting my rough country leveling strut on Friday, then test offroad this weekend)

With that said, does anybody else have the same security cable for the spare? I used to have a 4th gen, and I never saw this.

How are you liking it so far? Any pictures? I’m looking at possibly doing the same with tires and was wondering about the sway bar and how it improves things. Also does anyone know if the daystar and links void any warranty?
I love the look of the truck now. Had to wire tie the inner plastic fender back a little would rub on full lock in reverse. Will try and get some pics tomorrow been busy at work. The sway bar does stiffen up the roll in the rear. Tried all 3 setting and liked the middle setting the best.

Installed the vararam my wife got me for early Christmas present. And did before and after 0-60 runs. Made multiple before runs, they were all close to the same.

$10 50lb rated rubber coated gun magnet to hold my truck gun (Frankenstein) on long road trips. It’s got a great hold but shotgun comes off with a light firm pull.

I agree with the middle setting on the Hellwig sway bar. Love how it feels now!
