What did you do to your Ram today???

I installed Train Horns on Ram Vader!

Since I changed my tires to a larger size, the factory spare tire was worthless to me. I wanted to see if I could install and on board air system with a 5 gallon air tank and VERY LOUD and large Train Horns in that space without removing the heat shields. I went with the Kleinn Problaster HK9 - 150 psi System with the demon 730 train horn kit. I also decided to upgrade to the ultra blastmaster valve upgrade. The blastmaster valve upgrade gives each horn its own solenoid with a half inch airline to each horn making them even LOUDER. I figured what the hell, go big or go home! I love the saying on the box that the train horns came in. It states “ Too loud? Too bad! “ Holy ****, these horns shake the ground. They are so LOUD! The instructions stated not to mount the air compressor upside down due to overheating. So off to Lowe’s I went and bought some metal and brackets and made my own mounts for everything. I am not a welder so I went with the bolt on method. I used nylon locknuts everywhere so nothing should come loose due to vibration I spliced into the factory horn wire. I wired The air compressor pressure switch and Train Horn solenoids into my trigger 4 Plus 30 amp switch # 1. That way I can turn them on or off as needed. I still have just the factory horn when the trigger switch # 1 is off. I also ran the air filter for the compressor into the driver side ram box. It worked out perfectly because there are grommets at the bottom of the ram boxes. I just removed the grommet and ran the quarter inch airline and screwed on the air filter. Now the air compressor will have clean dry air all the time.

Once I get my 2021 Laramie with Ecodiesel, I have to figure where to put the Nathan Airchime K5LAs,
York 210 Compressor and Air Tank(s). They are currently on my 2008 Big Horn with the York Mounted to
the 5.7L Hemi. Also get the Klienn Sniper 333 Remote. You can sound off the horn from 300 ft away.
I mounted the remote behind the grill with a waterproof Otterbox.

Happy Honking

Busy morning...
First up Wash and dry for the truck , then removed charcoal filter(decided to drill out plastic welds instead of just cutting the filter from frame as some recommended, just seemed a little cleaner ) from air intake, then installed K&N filter.

What is the point of this? Just to scare people? I feel like if you just like the sound you'd have to drive like an ******* to use your horn enough to justify it. I drive in a medium sized city and use my horn like once every few months.

I looked at the crooked magnaflow exhaust.

I believe magnaflow has an issue on this product regarding driver side tail pipe for 19429.

To each their own. I rarely use the Horn also but it gets stupid drivers attention when they cut into my lane or doing stupid crap like texting and driving and causing problems. I’m not one of those idiots that just drives around and honks the horn at people just to scare them.

Im not sure if vehicle horns are required to be below a certain dB in some states. Interest thought.

Not sure either. The Freightliner commercial truck that I own for my business has airhorns on it that were installed at the factory that are just as loud as the horns on my truck. I think 90+ percent of all commercial trucks have airhorns on them and they all drive through different states

I couldn’t get my drivers side lined up right so I went to a muffler shop and they got me straight by putting some heat to it

I use mine to scare people, to get peoples attention, to warn ******* drivers and it’s attached to my alarm so if my truck is hit or someone tries to steal or break in they will be in for a rude awakening.

I can see a good lawyer using these loud aftermarket air horns for some serious litigation if someone ****s themselves and wrecks.

I guess I don't see a scenario in which the regular horn wouldn't do the same job. Normally I'd say if you like it then it's your money but this is one of a few things that can annoy or scare other people and maybe not even the ones cutting you off.

Hey everyone, I am a proud new owner of a 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie and I am looking to add nerf bars to my truck. I have been looking at the Ionic 5" black curved nerf bars but I am still undecided. Does anyone already these installed? Any recommendations?

I had the curved chrome 5” ionic on my granite crystal bighorn. They were fine bars, but wanted more of step on my bright white Laramie sport so I went with these:

Went up to Rollins Pass, above alpine, at about 12k ft. Learned about about an old railroad built in 1905 that ran over this pass and still with a lot of remnants of it. Tested the Mopar lift / suspension and new Wildpeak tires. Was an absolute joy and can’t wait for more of these adventures! Sad to see so many fires in our state (last pic is one of a few burning right now), especially from up here. Come on snow!
