Installed the westin sportsman x grille guard as a solo project. For anyone interested, here's a tip. A milk crate and air suspension allowed for an easy alignment between the guard and the mounting brackets (helpful when you don't have a second set of hands). Also, the packaging supplies the wrong size washers and the instructions are severally lacking.

When you installed the vararam, was there an easy way to access the oil fill? Curious if it has to come out for adding oil. I’m thinking when I get mine I might cut a hole over the cap and then use a solid rubber grommet plug to seal it. This way it’s an easy pop off of the plug to get to the oil filler. Would especially suck if you had dealer change oil. I doubt they’d do it if the vararam is in their way. Just curious what your thoughts are.

Thanks! No drilling but the carriage bolts were a little tricky to take off the frame but not as hard as I thought it would be. I used galvanized washers where the included ones didn't cover the hole in the metal, here's an example pick from the lower bracket.Looks great. Any more shots? Any drilling or fitment issues? Any plans on light bars?
That was the next question I thought of after I had already responded. Safe to assume it interfers with the sensor operation. Where do they get moved to?Thanks! I do plan on installing off-road lights but not the ones Westin sells for this grille, it's way too overpriced. My sensor relocation kit should be delivered this weekend and once I trim the plastic center piece that needs to be removed for the upper brackets I'll be able to reinsert it. Here's an updated pic of where I am so far.View attachment 55530View attachment 55531

It looks surprisingly good. I wasn't even considering a bumper like that, but now I totally am.

Looks good. I think that little chrome and black on the hood goes well with the wheels and tires.Got rid of some chrome. Still need to decide if I'm going to swap the whole hood bezel or just plastidip those ones.

Got tired of cleaning the fingerprints and smudges off of the screen, so applied a screen protector, voila, no more smudges. Amazon: Plastic Screen Protector, Navigation Center Touch Media Protective Film 8.4-Inch. Came as a 2 pack, I'll apply the other to my wife's Jeep GC.
