What did you do to your Ram today???

Installed 2” rear lowering springs and a hellwig sway bar. What a amazing difference. No more water wagon feel every turn or lane change and still has that stock comfortable ride.

I asked about the sway bar on my Laramie Longhorn and was told I have one from factory. Is the Hellwig just that much better than the stock one? Do you know why?

Do a search on here for hellwig sway bar. Lots of people on here feel the same way about it.
 
Removed the front air dam and active aero. The air dam takes up 6" of clearance at it's lowest point.

Oh and I cut and drilled for some universal mud flaps. I didn't like anything available for our trucks.

I have been wanting to remove the air dam for a while and finally decided to give it a shot after seeing your post. How do these connectors come off? I've never seen one quite like this and don't want to break anything.

Looks like a black nut up on top that you need to loosen. The bolt is captive. No idea why they went this route.
 
New Ram owner here. This forum has helped a lot in the purchase of my new truck.
2019 Laramie Longhorn.
Added front window tint to match the rear.
Just installed 33x12.5r22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers today. Absolutely love them. They look great, not much road noise. They rub ever so slightly at full lock. Interested in doing a level soon - wondering what an average cost should be for something like that (parts & labor). Never had a truck til now so I'm unfamiliar.

There is a 10mm nut on the top of that. Loosen it and remove nut. The small metal bracket stays on.

Do people usually have a dealership do it or lift shop? Is there normally a cost difference between the 2?

You were correct! Don't know how I missed that...

For anyone else wanting to do this, start with the active air dam, there are 4 13mm nuts then just unclip the cables and it pulls off. Next, there are about 15 10mm nuts on the top of the air dam. Then there is a bracket on each side with a 10mm bolt and a plastic push on connector on each. Remove those and make sure to unhook the wires that are tied to them. Finally, there are three plastic clips that you will need to remove by squeezing inward from the top and pushing through. That should release it and it will drop down.

I've got a 2000 mile trip planned for next week so I'll report back on any changes in mpg.

The Hellwig is solid steel the stock hollow you can totally tell the weight difference.

makes it easier to install and hold in place better as most will more than likely curb check it ..

When. I purchased mine (still waiting on delivery), the lift wheels and tires were rolled into the finance. I know the general manager at the dealership and also the guy who is doing the lift and stuff. I'm actually saving about $1000 doing it this way.

But I've seen dealers mark up the price of the lift wheels and tires just to make it a premium option.

Not a lot of places currently work on air suspension, you'll have to look around

2019 Limited 4x4 with Rambo, no etourque
- Borla cat-back touring with resonator
- 20% ceramic tint all around and pano
- Leveled with Daystar spacers and revel links
- Nitto ridge grapplers 285/55r22 (34.6x11.7)
 
Picked it up this afternoon and signed the papers after they put new shoes on it!
The new 2020 Limited with black appearance package and had Nitto Ridge Grapplers put on before delivery.
