What did you do to your Ram today???

I ain't doing that, obviously.

It's now a matter of finding a suitable and affordable replacement.....and navigating the rough waters until that replacement is found.

I think I'm most stressed by the unavoidable reality that I will have to be sharing my truck for a while. 😭😭😭😭
Well, that will make you concentrate on finding that replacement......

Definitely get a catch can. No need to buy expensive ones. This is the same as what I'm running. Ive had more expensive catch cans on other vehicles, and other than the hoses, this one is every bit as good of quality.

I take it this fits right with no added fabrication? Do u have the 5.7 non ET?

Finally got around to installing my Ham radio (Icom IC-7100) in the Ram. Plenty of room behind the seat for this since I don't have the etorque battery there. I only have the VHF/UHF antenna up right now but I will get around to installing the HF antenna (an ATAS 120) on the other side of the truck. The headunit is on a RAM mount so if I am going to be parked in a shady area I can just either swivel it down and close the cup holder forward or remove it altogether.

May not help you at the moment but I kind of went through the same dilemma. I recognized that my Mazda was getting on up there at 200k miles and opted to get my next commuter - A hybrid CR-V. I sold my wife by saying "look, you get to drive a new car for 3 yrs. Then we will get you whatever you want." Then I'll have a paid off truck and an almost paid off 2024 with 45k miles to be my commuter.
That does help, thank you. Honestly with used prices the way they are, I have been leaning towards a new, cheap, fuel efficient vehicle with a warranty. The days of reliable $1,000 beaters are gone ha. Me and my two kids all play hockey in the winter. And we travel 1.5 hours at least 5 days a week to do it, so I'd like something other than my truck to do it with. The responsible father in me tells me to buy a boring, dependable, small car or suv. The hot rodder in me says buy that clapped out piece of junk of FB marketplace and spend thousands fixing it up.

Hose clamp on the supply line for the heater core. There is a design flaw with early models, this stops heat bleeding into the AC. Drops vent temp from 52 to 42

You have me interested in this now. I might give the custom made ball valve from Amazon a try. I'll probably clamp it off first and test the temps before/after to see if it's worth the effort of putting the valve in. I thought I was just being picky about the AC not working well since I am new to owning a Ram. I guess I am not alone!

What years were affected?
Depends on how picky the owner is, and if they use "auto" or not. My 2020 cools just fine on auto. Keep it set at 70 degrees during summer and stays comfortable in the cabin. Don't need it so cold it's freezing me out. Keep the sunroof and windows vented when parked, plus tinted windows and it doesn't get as hot inside. If you want it colder, use manual settings and make sure to push recirculation button

Same. I think using Auto and at 70 is the golden ticket. Mine will freeze me out too but if I do the thermometer test I technically could have qualified or the TSB work.

Oof I feel that. My beater car will no longer pass inspection and needs a pile of money to make legal. I think I'm just gonna cut my losses and let it go down the road. But now, do I just put the miles on my truck? Find another 5k beater and hope it's in decent shape? Buy/lease a new small car/suv and make the payments? Tough decisions.
I know the feeling. I'm about to let go of my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. CEL for EGR won't go away. I had it "fixed" twice just to pass inspection. 23 years is enough I think.
