What did you do to your Ram today???

Got another piece of the stereo done. The pods are done but my install shop won’t show them to me until it’s installed. They did send me pics of the box though. It houses 2 JL Tw5s

So cool looking!!!!! I bet you could sell a bunch on here!! I would get one eventually too.

Finally washed her... Used Adams foam car wash and foam gun, and detail spray when drying.

That looks awesome - what did that run you if you dont mind me asking? I considered doing that too just not sure of the cost of it.

@W13NY i saw you are selling the husky under seat storage. Maybe dumb question but I wonder if it’s possible to repurpose that box to create a sub enclosure? Add fill, holes and put a top on it?

Clever idea but its really thin plastic most of it - probably not sturdy enough to do something like that

Did they spray tint your lights? Looks really good!
Yes he spray tinted them. He does some good prep work smoothing out the taillights prior to painting. I think he does some of the best spray tinted lights I have ever saw.

Installed 3GCustomz engine cover, that I had powder coated in dorman orange with metallic black backing plates.

Sadly though, since these were designed for 4th gen, I can only install the passenger side until I modify (cut off half) of the driver side cover.

Ordered some Lloyds Ram floor mats in black. I have these in my 2012 and boy do they hold up well. The fit is superb and they’re really well made. They ain’t cheap though, but I really dig the look.

Looks slick! Hey how do you like your running boards? Are the steps in the right place (front to back) for your feet to hit naturally. Roughly how much lower is the step than the top of a factory board? Thanks have a good one.

Thanks man, yeah I really like the steps. Westin did a great job positioning the foot pockets and there is also a slight bit of front to back adjustment available to get them positioned just right. They sit pretty close to the truck body, and maybe 5-6 inches below the door sill.....it’s a comfortable distance when getting in and out for sure.

Out of interest how do you cut the springs without them getting hot and ruining the tempering?

I went and measured the step height and it pretty much splits the difference between ground and door sill....about 10 inches below the sill.

Hacksaw or grinder. Basically almost anything except a torch. The springs are progressive so basically the top 3coils are fully collapsed anyway.
