What did you do to your Ram today???

Made a reachin’ stick for my truck bed with an old hockey stick and an angle bracket. This was LONG over due!

I always keep my "Old Man Grabber" in the bed. Just to clarify, it's a grabber used BY old men.

I've got a small list of things I've been working on. Waiting on that annual bonus to hit my account. Had to pull wheels and tires off the list. Bonus is bigger this year, bit 90% restricted stock vs 50/50 cash. Not complaining really, but...

Installed the Skeerdycat skid plate/cat converter protector. Install was pretty easy. Wish they included some form of instructions. Watched a couple YouTube videos and read some write ups on forums, but the write up I saw in TRX forum wasn't correct IMO, and the guy in YouTube had his upside down. They didn't use the rubber washers/spacers in the correct spot. They go on the rear of Skeerdycat skid plate between the cross member and the skid plate. The inserts that go in the cross member can't be fully tightened down and the skidplate will rattle if you try to install without them there.

They are brighter…when I upgraded to LED lighting I had these built with diode dynamics LED boards in them.

Thanks!
Did you open up the headlights yourself? How hard was that?

i just installed this kit yesterday.the hardest part was "taping"into the tailgate light bar.when i bought this(3yrs ago)it was to help lighten up the rear to see a lot better, now with this new product.i couldnt see why i should get rid off it.some would but i decided to keep it in.

I had ceramic tint installed on my '23 Limited Night Edition. I did a 5% AS1 line brow and 15% on the rest of the windows. I had a '22 Bighorn, '22 Laramie, and now this '23 Limited. Unbelievable how nice these Rams are!

I finally did the rainsense wiper upgrade. Found a used sensor for cheap, 2 changes in Alfa and good to go. And it rained the day I did it so I got to try it out. Well worth it in my opinion. I also took a second go at putting my 35x12.50 spare in the stock location and succeeded! I took another member’s advice and trimmed the back of the hitch. I was concerned at first, but only trimmed up to the weld without actually touching it and it gave exactly the space I needed to clear

Is your spare on a matching wheel, or the steel wheel. I just just just put 275/70/R18's on my Big Horn and had them put a matching tire on my steel spare wheel.

I fixed the dealer's mistakes yesterday ! Had an oil change done the other day. Asked them to _please_ clean up the underside of the truck, I really don't want oil splatters on my garage floor. I asked this because after my first oil change on the truck that is what happened. Oil all over the skid plate and they didn't clean it up, so it drained off onto my floor.
Service advisor made a note on the paperwork.... but alas, it still happened. Not a huge mess, ( see picture ) but still, why can't they get this right ? So I crawled under myself and saw that they had indeed done some cleaning up, but obviously they missed some. I didn't find any more, so it seemed this was what they missed.
Thing #2 : They rotated the tires for me. Half a mile down the road I get a low tire pressure chime on the cluster along with "inflate front tires to 55 PSI"
Since the Rebel has 55 front / 45 rear as the factory recommendation, it's going to complain otherwise. All they did was rotate the tires, they never checked the pressure clearly.
So when I got the survey in my email I brought up these points and said I'd like a call back from the service manager. Still waiting two days later.
I'll do a Google review on Monday if I haven't heard and see what happens !
These are only minor things and maybe I'm being nitpicky, but it just leaves me feeling like they rush and don't give attention to detail. I pay them money and still have to crawl under my truck and wipe up spilled oil and spend some time getting my tire pressure right.
Only had that happen once in 23 years of dealer service doing oil changes on my vehicles!

Great for reaching the 10mm socket when you drop it and it rolls on the garage floor to the exact middle under the truck!

This only happens to me when a 1 hr project is going on hour 6, my hands are covered in antisieze, and it’s 102 degrees in my garage which is every project lately.

I've never had trouble keeping track of my 10mm sockets. However, I actually needed the 13mm a while back. I haven't seen it since. 😕

14mm is my issue because a lot of the bolts on my Dakota are that size.
