What did you do to your Ram today???

I have 1000km left on my bumper-to-bumper warranty so I am outside after every shower of rain feeling around and looking for any drop of water on the window interior. Worse yet whenever I go through a car wash.

At this point I am almost begging the leak to set in so I don't end up dealing with this out-of-pocket.
Have you checked your windows part number? Your truck should have the updated stronger window that doesn’t crack

Has it actually been confirmed that there is an updated version, and that it doesn't crack?

Say more....

What am I looking for?
I also have a '21 Ram 1500 (purchased 2 months before the '22's came out), and I had the rear window leak already. I wouldn't count on it having an upgraded part#, if one even exists.

Bummer! 😞

Not today, again, but over the Independence Day weekend. Posting now, again, because I just finished processing the photos.

Yeah they revised the window in late 2020 but kinda like the whole exhaust manifold bs it apparently just shifted the problem from one part to the next.
That being said at least from all the threads on here less 21 and up trucks are having the issue but that could just be perspective 🤷🏻‍♂️

The windows part number should be just behind the interior rim on the lower corner of the driver side ( I think, I checked like a year and a half ago ) if you find the newer one and want to check.

Edit: revised number 68426398AE thanks @Burns1200

Looking back on the other threads I’m not sure exactly when that revised window was first installed in the rams but looks like sometime during 2021.

I grew up around the eastern sierras (Ridgecrest) and would visit the Alabama Hills and Lone Pine often...no more beautiful place in the US than around there.

I bought some Rough Country Black Series Pods w/amber DRL. I thought I’d try them out. Only $89.95. Plus, it comes with the harness, unlike other brands. I only installed the pods themselves. Didn’t get to the wiring. Got some family stuff to do. Maybe tomorrow. Lol

My initial impression is that they are very well made. They feel pretty robust. Hopefully they will work out. No leaks!!

Looks good definitely share when they are up and running!

Look good and that is a good price!

unfortunately they limit camping to east side of Movie Road these days and currently have fire restriction.
I get why they do it (because the sheer amount of stoopid people) but it's a bummer for those of us who know what we're doing.

I hooked up the power to test the pod lights out. Still need to figure out the best place for the switch and adjust the beam angle. They seem to be bright enough. I really like the amber color of the DRL mode (looks better in person).

I did this yesterday getting some icecream for the kids. It's a duel drive through at the KFC/DQ has 2 order lines like some McDonald's but dose not go to two different pickup windows. It also has a tall curb on the right hand side. It was packed so I ended up queuing the line at an odd angle I haven't went into it before. I could usually line up straight but people had it all curved out. I guess the big downside to the steps I have is how low and wide they hang. So oopsie doodle I'll have to keep that in mind next time when there is a line.
