When you take your truck in for inspection. The dealer checks/installs any updates needed.

Most of these updates are to address issues. If the customer doesn't complain about any issues with the radio, the dealer isnt going to randomly check the version and/or update it. Unless it's part of a recall.

This one. I’ve been using their detailer spray for a while now. That stuff has impressed me. So we shall see about this stuff. They have one better than this. But I bought this on sale over winter after my eff up in the paint. I’ve just been waiting for warm weather to do it.

I did a bunch of researching about the graphene versions of ceramic like 6 months ago or so and there was actually a video that was like an hour and a half long that did a full study on them. I believe it was a shop out of NY (i could be wrong on location) and they had a good reputation. they had a scientist/chemist do an analysis of ceramic vs graphene ceramic coatings and they came to the conclusion that it was all pretty much a gimmick at this state of the game with graphene. Not in their words, but it was essentially like mixing water with a few drops of food coloring. It was still water at the end of the day, but was discolored because of the food coloring in other words and offered no benefits whatsoever other than being able to say it was part of the mixture. The chemical process of mixing graphene and ceramic just arent there, more so the bonding of it. The scientist/chemist was upset at his findings because he was very hopeful at better findings. It's just a gimmick, It's just a good ceramic coating thats discolored because of the graphene.
Graphene isn't new, but because of how hard it is to mass produce they are trying to simply hype everyone up over it in anticipation.
I'll try to find the video later

Making progress on my newer audio system. Need to wire up the Wavtech Link6 and Expert Electronics PX2 (power, RCA, etc.) and install some more sound deadening material. Then, hook the subs back up. My guy will probably finish it this Sat. Should be all good. Also thinking of getting higher quality door drivers/dash tweets.

This setup, when finally finished, is going to sound amazing!

Damn! Hope it doesn’t make your rear windows leak sooner than later. 😬🙏🏽

I went in for the tailgate recall last Saturday and I was in and out in about 20 minutes tops. In fact they never took my truck out of the spot I parked it in to "inspect" the tailgate. They don't always check for updates apparently

That’s why I said inspection not recall

Idk my dealer does it. 2nd year in a row.

It is a recall. The recall involves inspection, and if necessary, repair. That is how most recalls are.

I was referring to my state inspection..

No I wouldn’t expect them to do program updates if it was just there for a recall.

I installed rough country grille lights and wired them to my relay box I already had installed.

Got it tinted with ceramic tint today.
20% front, 70% windshield, and 50% rear.

it feels like getting a new truck again because it's dark lol

Looks great. Just got a 2023 limited that I have to get in for tint ASAP. Do you have HUD? Wondering how that's works with the windshield tint. I had tint on my rebel windshield but no HUD.

ok, I am not familiar with state inspections myself, but I do know all dealers I have ever use have a 35 point inspection of some sort. Mostly about fluids, tire and brakes current state but haven't notice anything about checking software updates on it. And now I have just started doing my own oil changes so I guess I might find out eventually if I am in need of an update

Finally debadged the tailgate last night. Here’s a tip for removing the badges: spray WD40 and let it soak for a few minutes, then use a heat gun and the badges peeled off with no effort and the adhesive all peeled off in one single piece, no rubbing required at all. Then to get the residue off, spray WD40 and wipe with a microfiber. Use a clay mitt for any hardened glue that’s stuck. This worked so fast and easy compared to the fishing line technique! My factory badges peeled right off without spraying them with anything. Left truck parked outside in sun for a couple hours. Of course this was less than a week after buying it. The stupid dealer badge they put on, I used an eraser wheel to remove residue after peeling badge
