Had a couple mishaps over the winter. So I decided to redo the entire truck. Using griots complete compound. Tomorrow I’ll coat it trying glossits new graphite coating.

Nice, MF pads put some work in when you know how to use them. I essentially did the same thing a couple weeks ago after the avalon king coating failed in only 2 washes. I was pissed off about that but I've got single and two stage paint correction process down to a science on this truck and can knock it out in 4 hours including the wash.
I've had to do what you just did twice in the last 90 days, I also didn't re-coat yet, just sprayed it with some Carpro Reload for now.

Some people seem to have lots of issues updating, read the thread quoted for updated UC4 12"
Yeah, I don't understand why some people have such a hard time. I've done mine three times now and no issues any time

This was my 2nd, 3x to 39 then 39 to 40 and I had no issues. I wonder if they are screwing up with the USB drive instructions

When I updated mine to 40.1, I had to make 3 different copies on three different thumb drives. No of them worked, then I used an old one with 4Gb and it worked fine.
Something to do with the drives and or capacity.

Coated it. I will say the glossit product is much easier to apply and remove than the Avalon king. It’s supposed to rain for the next three days so it has time to cure in the garage.

Also summer wheels

Thats looks great, which glossit coating?
I just talked to a detailer friend of mine and he said none of that Prosumer ceramic coating last. He's getting me some Maxx and some Diamond SS top coat at his cost.

More than likely it was the formatting of the drive or the speed of the drive

Gave all of my lettering the plasti-dip treatment today. It was either this or a complete de-badge (which may still happen). I have the black window trim on order, and also an all painted tailgate handle. As soon as I can find the part numbers for the all painted door handles I will be ordering those too. Trying to figure out what to do with my grille. What I really want is to order the black one and paint the top rail and bottom rail red and leave the middle black. But that will cost more than its worth I think. Trying to find used parts for the top and bottom rail to paint and then maybe just wrap the middle. If anyone has suggestions on the best way to accomplish that, I'm all ears. Wheels are staying as is for a little bit of contrast.

This one. I’ve been using their detailer spray for a while now. That stuff has impressed me. So we shall see about this stuff. They have one better than this. But I bought this on sale over winter after my eff up in the paint. I’ve just been waiting for warm weather to do it.

Making progress on my newer audio system. Need to wire up the Wavtech Link6 and Expert Electronics PX2 (power, RCA, etc.) and install some more sound deadening material. Then, hook the subs back up. My guy will probably finish it this Sat. Should be all good. Also thinking of getting higher quality door drivers/dash tweets.

This setup, when finally finished, is going to sound amazing!

New shoes came in! 275/65r20 General Grabber ATXs. No rubbing or trimming required with my current suspension set up. So far I like them. I'll get a better picture in the coming days when I get it cleaned up and the air dam removed. 502BF2C7-3B9F-4376-8FED-84FBD17B1DEA.jpeg

How do you find out if there are updates available? I bought my truck new in June of 21 and like two months later I got an update. Nothing since then though. I'm not having any problems with it but I'm curious if there are any updates
same here, and having no problem so not sure that I want to look into it

When you take your truck in for inspection. The dealer checks/installs any updates needed.

I went in for the tailgate recall last Saturday and I was in and out in about 20 minutes tops. In fact they never took my truck out of the spot I parked it in to "inspect" the tailgate. They don't always check for updates apparently
