What did you do to your Ram today???

Went for a drive to pick up breakfast burritos from our favorite local food truck. Stopped for a picture with the new bumper and light bar installed. Haven't had a chance to get a good picture since I got the light bar on the bumper. Still need to figure out how I want to wire it up. The light pods in bumper are connected the factory fog light connectors
Bumper set up looks GREAT!

Looks real nice, although I'd paint the silver hardware black to pacify my OCD.

Added a bed cover and some yellow fog light lamin x film

Line-x spray in bed liner done on Thursday, put the rear wheel well liners in today, and hardwired the radar detector (mostly- it’s all wired up, but no
power, so checking the connections at the fuse box)

attempted to add more red led light strips under the RTT to help with night time camp setup and stuff but found out my dumbass ordered the wrong colored LEDs.
Then decided to use the said LEDs under the RTT running left to right on top of tailgate to help with vision when cooking at camp, but then found out the strips are too long for side to side.

So I packed everything up and ended up not doing crap lol

Sounds like time well spent.

You can see the marks inside the pockets. This was with the 1" spacers. View attachment 149967
I pulled a front off today.
No marks!
I guess these wheels have significantly deeper pockets or the BTSs have longer studs.

First oil change for the truck today! 7k miles and boy, whoever put the drain plug next to the bar is a real jerk. I'm pretty sure more oil sprayed on me than into the pan :(. Installed a Fumoto valve though, so at least I won't have to worry about that again! At least replacing the filter wasn't too bad with the ziploc bag method! Used Castrol Edge Extended Performance 0w-20 and FRAM Ultra Synthetic Filter. I have the 3 free oil changes for buying the truck, but something about DIY is more fun!

I put wire loom on the wiring I did last weekend when I put in the train horns. I should have had this when I did the install. What a nightmare....ended up cutting all the wire ties I put on last weekend, so I could add the wire loom and then re-wire-tie everything. No fun! But, it looks good!

well since I got nothing going on this weekend... now i'm thinking swapping out the squadrons on my A-pillar for XL/ XL80s PLUS a S1. The XL will probably be in spot pattern to help me see far, while S1 will be in cornering pattern while aimed down for ditch light.

But then I fear XL + S1 are too close to the weight limit (basically what a LP4 weights) and LP4 is the maximum weight the SDHQ ditch light bracket is designed for. Passenger side wouldn't be a problem, but driver side I have the Ham antenna that wiggles when I drive, which adds to the stress put on the bracket.

hmm

This picture brought something to mind: You might want to check for interference on your spare. The spare not clearing the lugs when you're on the side of the road might not be a welcome surprise.

Oh yeah, so much more fun to get sprayed with oil than to drink coffee and cruise the interweb while someone else gets sprayed with oil.....

Installed the Lamin-x yellow foglight covers. Look great!

Great catch! (y)
Thank you.

Just by looking at the picture, I can see that I must carry the tools to remove the adapter so I can mount the spare tire. Otherwise, the studs would have to be almost flush with the spacer for the spare to mount properly.

That would have been a major bummer to find out the hard way. 🤬

You could also go find a matching spare.

I did contemplate that when I was shopping for tires. And it would be a very good solution, albeit more money.
Instead, I chose to reuse my spare wheel and buy an appropriately sized quality used tire to use as the spare.

It wasn't worth it to me to buy a matching spare wheel for which I'd have to buy a matching spare tire. I'm also not a fan of the 5-tire rotation scheme.
