What did you do to your Ram today???

Anyone compare the OEM step to the AMP Research step. AMP step looks wider and also seems to protrude more than the OEM.

*Edit: they're also pretty much the same price ~$290

Even if it was $100 cheaper, I wouldn't buy it. It's just too damn ugly. 🤣

Yep! Got mine yesterday. Not really concerned about thief or vandalism around where I live so probably wont have it on most of the time. But when traveling out of town overnight I'll feel more comfortable having it.

Nice, how exactly did you run your power supply to the USB port? Is it completely hidden?
They include a long cable. Ran it up under the mirror housing, under the headliner, down under the door molding and behind the glove box.

There is an adapter available that give you a plug in behind the mirror so you don't have to route any wires down pillar or across dash.

Yeah I saw that but I don’t see a port on the back of the mirror in my truck. Maybe there one inside the mirror housing, I don’t know as I didn’t actually open it up. Wire routing literally took less than 10 min anyway.

i want to do that.

is it as easy as the video shows?
I did not remove a single panel, just reached up and grabbed the three prongs and pushed. You will lose some skin on a piece of metal that is up there or at least I did....lol.
Dont forget to remove the silver ring that is on the old switch and move it over to the new one.
Overall it took me less than 5 minutes to do once I started.

You plug the adapter inline with the connector for review mirror and it gives you a USB port. Yes you have to take off the plastic housing around the mirror. It's more about not having to route a wire than the time it takes. Also don't use up a USB port below radio.

Never mind. It does list Ram. I ordered one.
