What did you do to your Ram today???

I came up Local 211, HVAC.
We got funny looks because it wasn't Channel-Locks, the (un)official tool of Pipefitters around the country.
Lol, I hated channel-locks with a passion until I used them for what they actually are for. Now I get excited when I see a 2ft long set of channel-locks.

Well I did something I swore I would NOT do. That is, order a bunch of stuff BEFORE my truck even gets to the dealer!!

But based on @securityguy recommendations I ordered and received today a Blackvue DR750X-2CH Plus. It will sit on the self until my truck gets in. Already ordered a Uniden R7 on same recommendation! But using that one in my current truck. I'll hard wire both when the truck gets here.

Yesterday - Installed a Comma 3, using a custom 3d printed mount (made by another member). Works amazingly well so far.

Today - Installed my Winter Grill Cover - install was easy, but I'm struggling to get the camera hole to line up and stay put (seems like the hole is too low). I bought some velcro this evening, gonna put some on the grill around the camera and see if that helps.

Disabled the fog lights dropout with highbeams with AlfaOBD and added Oznium LED flush mount bolt lights for up-close light in reverse. My current lights shine out far, and I needed more light up close, so added these.

What are those little light/leds in your rear bumper and how hard was it to wire in and mount all the lights? I definitely would like more light when backing up

Anyone else get some snow today?
Up here in northern Alberta it feels like it hasn't stopped snowing since December 15. Snow, and -30 for almost a month straight makes pretty miserable driving conditions. Even the city gave up sanding roads
Summer or a trip to Arizona can't come fast enough.

Finished painting the tow hooks, and was ready to install those, decided to remove the air dam, while I was at it. Removed the air dam and active air dam, started on the tow hooks, but couldn’t get the bolt out on the first one. Not the retaining clip issue, it’s just torqued so tight that I couldn’t break it loose. After about an hour of trying, with everything I had and could my hands on, I quit for the day, went and picked up a 24” breaker bar. So, tomorrow, should be able to get the tow hooks on.

Piece of pipe on the ratchet or even the handle from a floor jack works great as a breaker bar.
I was trying to rig a piece of rebar to the end of a crescent wrench at one point..lol. . I don’t have any pvc at the moment, just finished a project, and used all except the scraps. great idea, though, thanks! Definitely will remember that.

Where did you get that grill cover?

No, no, no, do not use PVC pipe. Unless you want to send pieces of plastic flying everywhere.

Patriot Blue Limited fully looking like a Winter truck now. Lows at -12 below 0 F this week. Gonna have to use the engine block heater 4 out of 5 days to work:

Decided (last night) to install the window visors (EGR) and the stone/bug deflector (Weathertech). The window deflectors were a breeze and only took about 20 minutes to install. The bug deflector was a PITA. After popping out the rivets in the seal/hood, you align the deflector under the gasket and "try" to screw in new push pins with a screw. I would like to see those that actually got the screw to tighten....lol
