I couldn't agree more!! I cringed when he ripped the base out of the mounting hole; mind-blowing!!
Exactly which silicone did you use?silicone your gps antenna and 3rd brakelight.
@RamCares Looks like I get to take a trip to the dealer.. I found water stains after 10 hours of rain..
@RamCares add me to the list also. Made appointment to stop at dealership earlier today so they could take a quick look at it. Have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday 3/17 morning to resolve issue and oil change.
My dealership just caulked the 3rd break light and the antenna.
Hope this is enough.
Yay I am in the same club as everyone else here. With my 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie. @RamCares
Hard to see in the picture but my 2020 Bighorn has the same issue.
Looks like this just happened to me as well @RamCares. Guess I'm going to have to make a trip to the dealer. I assume if there are bugs in my third brake light it's definitely not sealing well enough to keep out water. I also appear to have the rear window frame cracks.
Recalls are primarily applied to safety or emissions issues.Hi Everyone,
I'M IN THE CLUB AS WELL
2019 RAM 1500 Laramie SAME EXACT LEAKING SPOT. Sadly I had to take it to the dealership as soon as possible, the leak was getting worse. Here in Houston, the rain from the hurricanes seemingly constant. I will tell the dealer about this information. hopefully, i can get to them before they take the entire headliner down.
WHY HASNT RAM FIXED THIS OR PUT OUT A RECALL??? Does anyone know how to best get the leak damage off the headliner? I'm scared to use chemicals. Mine is tan like what it looks like most of everyone else's happens to be. How did you guys clean it off?
This freakin sucks.

Mine was stained three separate times and cleaned by the dealer. The headliner is made of a hard, waterproof material. It's the fabric material on the outside that gets stained. The stains were completely removed each time and no one could tell today where the stains were.Well leaked again. It’s been back in August, September, October for “staining”. Today they said the seal was deformed and it was leaking again/ I want the headliner replaced and I am being told it’s fine and not to be replaced after being wet so many times and so much since June?? Are you kidding me? @RamCares ???
Oh that guy is probably the master tech at FCA.Thanks for the link. But damn talk about not giving a sh!t about ur paint / vehicle.
Gotcha I am worried about the integrity of the backing. I mean it was soaked in June. To the point you could ring my seat out. Then it just was never sealed properly. As the stains changed every month. Today they said the seal was defective on the light and it was indeed still leaking. So five months of leaking in Florida. With fiver different cleanings. Don’t want the headline to disintegrate in time.Mine was stained three separate times and cleaned by the dealer. The headliner is made of a hard, waterproof material. I would recommend that the headliner not be replaced if at all possible. There are speakers and microphones that are integral to the headliner. Removal is tricky and time consuming if done correctly. There could be unintended consequences. (The service manual procedure calls for the windshield to be removed.)
Best regards,

I don't think it will. It has the feel and appearance of plastic. It's pretty hard material as well and it doesn't bend very well. When I had my hand on it after the second leak, there was no staining on the back side and I couldn't feel any wetness on it.Gotcha I am worried about the integrity of the backing.
