Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

Hi, I just have a question, did you end up getting the lift kit from EBay?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have not ordered mine yet as I am waiting for my insurance money from a previous rear end I had. Once I get the money from them I will be ordering my Borla S-Type (or Atak still undecided) as well as ordering the lift from the cnymopar, which is an autorized FCA dealer.

MoparGuy did purchase from this seller when I mentioned it earlier in this thread. When it arrived it came with an invoice from the dealer which is a bonus considering it's an item sold on eBay.

I noticed you are Canadian, are you asking because you want to know the total price once it arrived? If so, I can tell you this, I have had several items shipped from eBay through the international priority shipping methods and they pre-charge the shipping, duties (if any) and taxes so that once the item arrives you will not have any cross-border surprises. So I have the kit in my checkout basket and this is the break down for shipping to me in Ontario.

$1350 cdn for the lift
$52 for shipping (crazy cheap, which I don't understand)
$240 for important fees (taxes because no duties on USA made parts)
$1642 total (this could change a little depending on the exchange rate)

Basically, international shipping is done via the GSP program (Global Shipping Program) which is handled by a 3rd party, Pitney Bowes.

$1000 cheaper in parts over going to my local dealer who quoted me $2600 for parts. I'll risk the lack of warranty items on USA purchased lift kit coming to Canada. I highly doubt the dealer will even care where the lift came from if there was warranty related problem.

Question.

Has anyone installed this and left the stock 275/55/20 tires on? I believe this measurement is pretty close to being a 32" tire.

Will this look funny? Reason being is I will be buying the lift kit first and will be getting tires down the road, just not at the same time due to funds being used in other areas. I just want to make sure I get the kit at the good price on eBay.

Also, I have the 3.21 gears and I see it's a much debated subject with tire sizes. I have read 35's will see a lost in power (significant or minor?) and some people are saying the truck searches for gears between 7th and 8th at 75mph (120km/hr). I was debating eventually between 33 or 34" , whatever size I would need to get Duratrac Wranglers as I really like these tires. I know 35's will be worst on fuel compared to 33's .

I have plenty of life left in my stock tires, so either run the tires until they are finished or sell them for whatever I can get for them. Wouldn't know what they would sell for?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am in Canada, we talked about the lift before. I ordered the lift from allmoparparts before, but they cancelled the order for some reason. So i am just looking for other options. Thanks for all the cost info, that is even cheaper than one I ordered, so that’s a bonus. I just want to be sure that this kit is the updated AB version for sure.

If you buy the kit from CNYMOPAR, you’ll get the newest version. Regardless of where you but it, as long as the part number is 77072424AB, you’ll get the latest version.

I had my new tires installed the day after the lift was done so here is a pic of my truck with the lift and my stock 275/55R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3Wa tires. When I measured these they were about 31”. I’ve only had my lift and 34” tires on for a week so I do not yet know how much my MPGs will drop. I do jump on the highway everyday just to the next exit going to and from work but I haven’t noticed any issues with the transmission searching for a gear but then again I’m not going 75-80 MPH so I will have to try that and see. My new tires are still in the bed of my truck in this pic.

( I know, I’m trying to convert him to Mopar! )...

Bad memory sometimes haha.. I do remember us talking now that you mentioned allmoparparts. Well luck is in your favour my friend because so far I believe CNYMOPAR is the cheapest place to find this kit. That is why I want to order before I even have tires to go with it, I want to get it at the price while I can.

No problem with the cost info, like to help out when I can.

Got lift and tires installed today! 2” Mopar lift w/spacer, orp front springs, Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x11.50x20 o77C2458A-41A5-4DE4-9902-CF99D8D0DDE1.jpeg635EBF24-5047-42FA-9487-A32E6A3860A8.pngn factory wheel. Still at dealer, will pick up tomorrow and take measurements and give feedback on ride.

I have the factory Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires with about 27,000km *16500miles* on them so I am hoping for a decent amount back on them if I can. I see you sold yours to a friend for $450 (which in funny money *cdn* is $600) which is actually not to shabby. Duratracs in 20" rims seem to only come in 3 sizes, 33x12.5 - 35x12.5 and 37x12.5 so I guess I'll have to decided between 33's or 35's... Or changing what I get for tires I guess.

With all that being said, I don't think the factory tires look too out of place with this lift. So I wouldn't care even if I waited until I wore out my tires before I upgrade.
Of course I'd still put them up for sale and see if I get any bites. If I get some bites, then I will just upgrade my tires and then sell my tires to those potential buyers.

Looks great!! I am getting my rims powder coated in satin black soon to match the night edition rims you have.

What gear ratio do you have?

Ok great I’m glad you guys confirmed it for me. I may either buy some non ORP springs or remove the spacers in the back.
Your truck does look good, I just figured you were going for a more level look just from reading your post.

My friend did get a good deal at $450 because they just hit 5000 miles when I had them taken off.

Thanks! I’ll be covering the silver lug nuts again after I pick truck from dealer, they look so much better black. I have 3.92 gears.

Your truck sits perfect. You ended up with 3 inch lift in front and 2 in the rear?
Thanks! I definitely wanted to take most of the rake out. My factory tires and all parts are bed in the pic, but I doubt when I remove those it will change the stance much. I’ll measure tomorrow and see what I actually got but I think 3+ front and 2 rear.

Update after picking truck up from the dealer and removing factory parts from the bed. The ride is smooth and noticeably stiffer but tires are at 60psi, so I’m sure that is a big part of it. Speaking of tires, they have just the right amount of road hum to put a grin on your face without being annoying.

Measurements: Front: ground to fender well 42“
center of hub to fender well 25”
Rear: ground to fender well 42 1/2”

Overall really pleased with how it turned out and glad it’s all under Mopar warranty.
