Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

Question:

on the new mopar UCA, there is a long bolt that goes through it and then an tear drop shaped washer on opposite ends of bolts. Which position. One side of vehicle its sticking outward, other side its facing down touching the frame. Unsure of original position of that. The creaking sound nearly sounds like brake pads sticking and pulling off the rotor (similar sound). NO odd noises over bumps and grooves, that is smooth. so unsure. perhaps its swaybar endlinks and they need to be torqued to the new 62ft-lb specs.

Those are flag nuts, basically nuts that you don't have to hold to tighten as they hold themselves on the frame as you put the bolt in. If i recall correctly, they will swing around and touch what they need to touch to tighten on the frame. However there is one of the four that will come in contact with the brake line if you don't position it properly. Let me try to get some photos uploaded of mine.

That would be great! Much appreciated :)

FYI, I just just received the 77072424 lift from BAM wholesale and it came with the updated AB front struts. So they are shipping the newest version.

But in the box there also was the 2nd set of rings listed in the TSB for the earlier non-AB struts. Has anyone installed the AB struts and the 2nd set of rings? I could see where this might happen as there was no indication not to use them with the AB struts in the box or instructions.

Anyone know if this works on a Laramie with the “Off-road Package”? Sorry, I know it’s probably somewhere in here but I don’t have much time because I have a line on a brand new kit for $700.

I just ordered the ORP springs from the dealer. To my knowledge from reading on this forum (I read just about every post on the matter), the ORP spring work fine with the Mopar 2" lift.

"I have the 2 inch lift with the spacer and the ORP springs and it rides just like normal"

"I have the Mopar lift with TSB spacers and ORP front springs.. It doesn’t ride bad by any means but it’s definitely not quite the smooth ride I anticipated after 1300 dollars worth of suspension parts. "

“That’s exactly what I did. Picture posted above. Mopar 2” Lift with the updates Mopar spacer and ORP springs. As for ride quality, it seems the same as before. I think the tires stiffened it up a bit, bit not to the point where it’s noticeable.”

Do you have a part # for the ORP springs? Thanks.

Never mind found it: 68320249AB

Does anybody have pics of the Mopar lift on an orp truck or a truck with orp springs installed?

Does anyone have any information on the cheapest place to buy the 2” Mopar lift? I’m in Canada and the lift has been discontinued on moparpartscanada, not to mention it’s almost twice the price.
I’m thinking of buying in the US and shipping to a post box that I have close to the border.
Thanks

It’s actually not the cost anymore, it’s the cost of shipping that’s killing folks.

This is the cheapest I've found. Not sure if they'll ship to Canada but you can ask.

Wheel and tire info please. Was yours standard suspension before the lift?
18x9 Fuel Vapor -12 offset
295 70 18 ridge grapplers

Stock suspension , NO ORP. Updated kit with spacers included. Slight rub, trimmed and use heat gun and now no issues. Rides great.

Only issue is this one little white plastic sleeve. It fits perfect on one side but is falling off the other. Not sure if it’s a big deal?

Did they install the updated AB front struts AND the 2nd set of spacers?

That I could not tell you. I believe just the spacers. I purchased the kit from eBay with the spacers included. Not sure about the front struts. There’s about 1/2” difference in height from front and rear I believe. I would need to remeausure to be sure.

Now I need to know what is needed to turn my non-off road into that. Would it just be the Mopar kit plus the off road springs only?

I think. I have seen some with a regular truck use off road springs in the front only with the lift to have a more leveled look. My rake stayed about 2.5 in before and after the lift.

Mine is only 1/2” higher in the rear than the front. Perfect for towing my boat and such, but unnoticeable to the naked eye. No ORP springs, just Mopar lift.
