So do the pods go in the existing plastic fog light bezel?
You unplug the factory wire going into your OEM fog light. Remove 3 screws that hold the OEM light to the bumper, then replace it with the new light.
The light is universal but the brackets are not. The brackets are made to exactly replace the OEM bracket. So you need to order the fog light for your truck, then you assemble the bracket onto the new light using 2 Allen screws. Then to place the new fog light into the bumper, put back the 3 screws and plug in your wire. 100% plug and play, no mods. Takes longer to reach down and remove the lower fender liner than to replace the light.
To adjust the light on the bracket you have a Allen screw on each side. You adjust the light so it shines below your head lights and then you tighten the 2 Allen screws that holds the light to the bracket. I adjusted my lights on the face of the garage door sitting about 60' back. I double checked the lights aim that it won't shine into my wife's car windshield parked near the house. I can't blind any car on the road. My lights are aimed correctly.
Driving down the road is now an incredible experience. I have nearly 180 degrees of light in front of me. It lights the edges of the road so any animals attempting to cross you can easily see.
With my Ram with the fog lights off, as you turn the fog light will act like a turning light. So each fog light goes on as you change direction. These lights are simply awesome lights. Beautiful crisp white light. When you drive with LED's you will never drive with halogens ever again.
