Reboot of what?

The UConnect console restarts similar to when the truck first starts. It's happened twice, both times while I under 10 MPH, just pulling out of a parking lot.

I think I may do a video of the difference of speed between the ford and RAM on the app. My kid has a mustang with the phone app and its as fast as a fob. My truck has been getting faster but still no where near the ford.My app is very hit or miss when starting the truck - I've given up on it. If it works, it works. Not worth a dealer visit for me as I'm not going to pay the big $$$ when the free year runs out soon. I'll just go back to using the keyfob to start it. Very disappointing as on my F150 it worked every time - quickly! And it was included for 5 years....
I have the exact same problem done all thatMine came with an included subscription.
I have registered with mopar.com and updated everything they told me to do on the phone with guardian, but still, nothing works. I'll keep you guys posted once I get it figured out.
I can’t see where it’s software related being we are all on the same version. Mine is a June build but has been updated twice. I haven’t had an issue with this prior to or after the updates.
I really believe that there is something simple being overlooked .
Could be the air card in the truck is not waking the truck. It’s a terrible thing to diag at dealer level for the simple fact that you have to wait 24 hours or more to see if something fixed what you think or to even test it.
So at the end of the day it most likely is the air card in the radio unit that is bad. If it were the RF hub then you would have other issues involving starting and locks and tpms.
Where is the RF module located? For what it's worth, I had the same problem with the Guardian app. Last week the truck wouldn't start. I had to have it towed Dealer. They had to replace the RF Hub Module to get it to start. The app works now. They also found that the rear window was leaking, onto the RF hub which finally fried it. Something to check out.
Back wall. Its is the main hub for the truck. It handles the starting and door locks and the TPMS. Could be possible its is the issue. I had recommended to someone a long time ago their trucks intermittent start issues and tpms issues to tell the dealer to replace that and it fixed their issues.Where is the RF module located?
It seems that everything else that that module controls works fine. I wonder if it could still have some effect on the Uconnect app not working though? The only other thing would be the telematics module. Something is going to sleep and needs to be awakened by starting the truck to get the app to work again.Back wall. Well there is no telematics module.. its the air card in the radio. Basically guardian works like this. Sirius Guardian gets the command sends to your truck though the air card. The air card then sends the can bus signal to the RF hub to start the truck. Same scenarios when you get in the truck though minus the air card. The rf hub wakes up once the one of the 4 antennas sense the RF key and determines the command that was sent. If you ever pay attention to your fob the red light will flash when you unlock the truck from the handle. It seems that everything else that that module controls works fine. It mostly likely is the RF hub is the issue. Especially if it works fine after driving it and a short period after. The truck goes fully to sleep after about 20 mins and deeper sleep longer. There are stages to how far it will go.
I said it before though its a tremendously difficult and time consuming thing for techs to diag. They cant throw parts because FCA won't allow it. There would need to be some failure to point to.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Greatly appreciated. Now at least I understand how it all works. I will definitely suggest that to the dealer. Originally they talked about pulling the radio for the telematics unit but now I'm glad i didnt allow them to at that point in time. Obviously, if there is no telematics unit the RF hub sounds like the more likely culprit. Thanks again for the info.Well there is no telematics module.. its the air card in the radio. My key fob also works every time. Maybe starting with the RF Hub is the way to go as it's easier to get to.I'm of a different opinion. Between the air card and the RF hub I see the air card as the issue. My key fob works every time. That means the RF hub wakes up just fine for a RF signal. Both my Uconnect app and the Mopar web site do not work much past 4 hours after key off. Sounds like the air card goes to sleep and doesn't recognize any signals.
I can understand that. I'm still working through my dealer and Uconnect to try to get a solution. Taking that approach they won't just replace a part yet without some evidence it's at fault. My key fob also works every time. Maybe starting with the RF Hub is the way to go as it's easier to get to.
My Uconnect issue is on the radar. The dealer tried a few things back in November. They did the resets...with. negative results so they couldn't figure out what is going on. FCA didnt know what to tell them. Maybe now they will start swapping some things for me.I can understand that. I'm still working through my dealer and Uconnect to try to get a solution. wife's trk (Nav) bought in september ... non owner until i call Uconnect .. a week later i am the owner ... we have two 2019 Rams bought at different dealers but can NOT select the selling dealer as "preferred dealer" .... Uconnect tech is useless
