Uconnect/sirius guardian - does it actually work?

Not sure if this helps but i received an email from RAM to confirm my account. The email came from "[email protected]". You could search your email for that and see if you got a confirmation email about setting up your uconnect. Good luck.
I actually just got off the phone with them because I noticed that there was a small bubble above the truck picture on the Mopar site that said records indicate I was not the owner of the vehicle and my vin was not associated with the account. They fixed everything in their database so maybe that will change things. I'll try the remote commands tonight when I am near the vehicle. I am hoping it works.

Did it show subscriber or non owner? I had to have them make my account show owner also. Its showed subscriber forever.

After closer inspection I guess the Level 2 equipment group replaced the standard Uconnect system. I couldn't find it in my apps or settings. I do remember seeing the Uconnect group as another option but it wasn't on my truck. Oh well...

I wish you luck but I havent had success with them or Sirius since I got the vehicle in Septemebr. The Mopar person I spoke to earlier also believes it's something software can fix but there is no solution yet. I usually get the "take it to the dealer " response from Sirius and Mopar.

I was told to take to to the dealer for service, FML. 8 days old...

The only thing the dealer can do is swap the telematics unit which is behind or integrated into the head unit of the radio. Maybe checking the antenna behind the rear seat also. I dont want my dash ripped apart just yet so I'm holding out for a definitive answer.

I can’t see where it’s software related being we are all on the same version. Mine is a June build but has been updated twice. I haven’t had an issue with this prior to or after the updates.

I really believe that there is something simple being overlooked .

Could be the air card in the truck is not waking the truck. It’s a terrible thing to diag at dealer level for the simple fact that you have to wait 24 hours or more to see if something fixed what you think or to even test it.

So at the end of the day it most likely is the air card in the radio unit that is bad. If it were the RF hub then you would have other issues involving starting and locks and tpms.

Rebel 12, zero issues. Love it. Start my car with it at lunch from either the app or webpage almost every day. Send addresses to it without issue.


edit, also worked fine before i was listed as 'owner' on webpage

I have the 12" display any other than a couple of re-boots and a 2 year old map, UConnect works as expected.

Okay so I tested the app and Mopar site after they updated the owner info. No good. It still only works after I start the vehicle. Maybe airvcard it is. That really sucks. I hate the thought of removing the radio.

Ironically my app worked for a short time when I first got the truck.

My app is very hit or miss when starting the truck - I've given up on it. If it works, it works. Not worth a dealer visit for me as I'm not going to pay the big $$$ when the free year runs out soon. I'll just go back to using the keyfob to start it. Very disappointing as on my F150 it worked every time - quickly! And it was included for 5 years....
