I've had my truck for a couple months now and this just started happening. Siriusxm says loading and never does, FM Radio, Aux, Apple Carplay doesn't play any sound and when I turn the volume knob the volume indicator doesn't move up or down. Anyone have this issue? Not sure what I should do, reset?

Did it just do OTA update? There have been a few reports of the latest OTA update bricking the radio with the siriusxm not loading.

I'm not sure how can I tell if it did? It never prompted me for an update. It's very sporadic, sometimes I get in my truck and its fine. When it happens turning off and back on doesn't help.

You would have known , it would have given you a message that an update was available when you shut the truck off.

Same issue here. After dealer did software update I started having this issue. FCA engineers are supposed to be reviewing and decide next step. Dealer was going to replace radio but FCA they had them do a diagnostic and send to engineers. Waiting on the results now.

Same here...when my radio says, "loading" or something, I know it's screwed. Many times my GPS is also off (I'm not in the right spot, on the navigation screen). My 2015 Denali had two "shark fin" replacements...wondering if it's the same. If I shut the truck down for about a 1/2 hour, it starts normal. But, when I'm rolling and the Sirius doesn't connect (has happened about 3-4 times in last two weeks), I can't just pull over, turn off, open door, restart...it still won't load.

Mine just did this for the first time this morning, the dealer did the radio update recall about 4 weeks ago and it had been fine since. But got in this morning and it is doing the same as yours, says SiriusXM loading and wont allow any sound to be played whether through XM, FM, AM, Android Auto or anything.

Truck is parked back in the garage now, will see what happens when I start it up this afternoon.

I've had the same issue for a few months(started in May). The dealer found some error codes when doing the diag and said the radio needed to be replaced. Its been almost 2 months. I called FCA they created a case and told me the radio is on BO and that they have zero eta on when I will get a replacement. Kinda upset the truck is less then a year old and has been at the dealer 3 times for issues with the radio.

That sucks, my truck was fine for two days, and then did it again today, 1 out of 4 times I started it.

Same thing happening here. Started happening right after an OTA update in May. Have held off on taking it in, knowing it's going to be a hassle. Hoping the issue is widespread enough they identify and fix it in the next update.

I had my sound muted ONE TIME, which was this past Saturday. I have owned the truck almost a year. All sound was muted. Radio, parking cues, voice assist, everything. I fixed it by selecting AM, after which I immediately heard static, then it all came back. Has not happened before or since.

I recently had the message that an update was available for my radio. The update performed and I’ve had problems since! The whole first day after the update Sirius, fm and am radio as well as the Bluetooth wouldn’t work. Today I started the truck and it read sirius xm loading for 25 miles. I stopped the truck and switched to the fm radio with the volume frozen and not adjustable and no sound. Then I shut the truck off and restarted it, when it restarted the fm and am radio as well as Bluetooth and nav all work normal however my xm radio does not work at all. I can push the xm radio button and nothing happens. What a mess

That’s exactly the same issue I’m having. How can anyone release breaking software and still not have a resolution for it after 2 months. The dealer did say it was a hardware issue and “ordered” a new radio..

What’s worse is think about how costly a mistake this is going to be all in the name of a stupid update! I had absolutely zero issues with my radio until the update?

How do you tell what version of software you have?

Hold the two bottom left and right icon buttons at the same time and then go to system info. This update that messed mine up was actually a damn recall I think. But it wasn’t done at the dealer, it was done over the air.

The buttons on the screen, not the hard ones next to it. I was typing my answer out as you typed yours so figured I'd piggyback on it.
