TRX Shifter swap

You can’t get sport mode (autostick via the shifter) working without flashing the TCM to a G/T 1500 TCM calibration, doesn’t matter how you configure the BCM.
Is that even possible?

I'm hoping we can do this to the 2025's eventually! That's all I think this truck is missing.

Well, after driving the truck a few times with the console shifter, I don’t think I would ever want to go back to the dial. It just feels more natural and more appropriate with the shifter in hand while driving. It could be because I have driven manual trans vehicles so often in my life.

I believe this mod is absolutely worth the effort.

For anyone who may still not understand what wires need to be extended, here is an image of the connector marked up with the wires that needed to be extended and pinned from the Rotary shifter connector

That's good info but that is the connector on the console. Here is the IP harness connector that needs to be pinned if someone gets the proper terminals to use.

It's the same pins on both sides of that connection.

Yes. Just adding info and pictures for visual aid. It's very easy to be looking at the wrong side of the connector and pin it wrong.
Probably true if you are not swapping an entire console. The other side is already pinned to the same wiring scheme if you have a full replacement GT or TRX console. But good point nonetheless.

Also, I think its a good possibility that any trim level with the GT option may already have these pinned on both sides.

The pins were not correct unfortunately. But, I found an additional benefit to having this console shifter. When you put it in drive and then shift left to S mode, it disables engine stop/start. It's nice to have a simple, and intuitive, on-the-fly method of stopping the stop/start from engaging. No reaching for anything and it's a simple right to left movement of the shifter.

So does this mean you will be taking orders to do other swaps haha I’d f something up

Anyone ever end up building a harness for this? Super interested and have a line on a reasonably priced console, but I would personally Jack up trying to re-pin everything myself…🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I didn't document it. Yours should be much easier as the ft console already has the mount for the shifter. Wiring wasn't hard,,change pin position on a couple of wires.
I’m looking to do the same thing which wire needs re pinning

SOS! 2023 Ram Warlock (DT) TRX Shifter Console Swap Gone Wrong – Need Expert Help!
🚨

Hey there, Ram enthusiasts! I’m in a bit of a pickle and could use some wisdom from this awesome community. I’ve got a 2023 Ram Warlock (DT) and decided to spice things up with a TRX shifter console swap. Spent all day tinkering, but I’m hitting some roadblocks and could really use a hand.
Here’s the scoop:
  • What I’ve Done: Got the TRX shifter console installed and sorted out the cables for the charging setup. Unfortunately, the rear chargers aren’t working since my Warlock doesn’t have them stock. No biggie there, but the real issue is the shifter wiring.

  • The Problem: I followed a wiring diagram from an earlier post on this thread and used a harness from Infotainment with the metal tips. Thought I had it all figured out, but when I fired up the truck… yikes! Every warning light on the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, and I couldn’t even turn the truck off! Had to yank the negative battery terminal to stop the chaos.

  • Current Status: Truck’s off, I’m alive, I rewired everything back and the truck seems to be fine.

If any of you wiring gurus or TRX swap veterans have been down this road, I’d love your advice. Maybe I missed a step, used the wrong harness, or angered the truck gods? Any tips on troubleshooting, fixing the wiring, or getting those warning lights to chill would be a lifesaver. Bonus points if you’ve got experience with the Warlock or DT platform!Happy to share more details or pics of my setup if it helps. Thanks in advance for any pointers – you folks are the real MVPs!

The 2023 RAM Warlock was still the DS 4th gen. So any wiring won't be the same as the 5th gens. The swap may not work for you. But could try asking in a 4th gen forum for better help
