Jesus, is it me, or there is a lot of **** going wrong with these new trucks. I think aside 2-3 people, everyone else has had an issue.
There is a small whitish defect down by the door lock between the laminated glass. You can only see it in sunlight and I noticed it the first time I cleaned my truck. I thought it was something on the glass and tried to get it off with a razor and various cleaners until I realized it's in between the laminate. The dealership ordered a new glass a few months ago. What is your driver side door defect? I have what looks like a chip in my passenger front door window.
It's a shame. It's such a beautiful truck and when it's running right it drives like a dream. Maybe once the new model settles in the issues will become less common. Right now it's frustrating to say the least.Jesus, is it me, or there is a lot of **** going wrong with these new trucks. I think aside 2-3 people, everyone else has had an issue.
Laramie CC
Built 8/08
Purchased after thanksgiving off the lot
2200 miles
God awful mileage on v8 etorque (back to where it was pre TSB updates)
Backup camera goes blank in R
UConnect 8.4 won't update OTA
Tailgate sensor randomly comes on (with or without tonneau cover on)
UConnect sometimes won't turn off when car is parked and engine turned off
Popping (like a bb gun) sound when car stops moving and engine stops in D
Headrest on driver seat won't stay locked in position - keeps falling forward almost to a 90 degree angle
Have an appointment after a trip this week to get everything evaluated at the dealer.
Very sorry to hear about your new truck. It's ridiculous that stuff like this gets through quality control. I hope they get it worked out for you. I do however, respectfully disagree with the American vs European quality control comment. I think passing defective things through quality control is exactly representative of what American vehicle production has become. I've owned 9 European vehicles in recent years and never experienced anything like what people on this forum, myself included, have experienced with these trucks. Sad but true unfortunately. Just my humble opinion. Best of luck to you.2019 Laramie Quadcab

Paint match problems along with a rust ring on rear bumper.
FCA does not know how to paint match light colored paint. Beds don't match cabs, plastic parts don't match.
Mine is so severe my dealer has ordered me a replacement dark paint truck and is dealing with FCA to step up to make both of us whole. $6500 quote to repaint my truck - who wants a repainted new truck?
Every truck I have pulled up on dealer web sites in white or pearl white has a bed that does not match the cab.
My new freind on this forum Rototerrier bought a two tone tricoat white with brown bottom and neither color on the bed matches to rest of his truck. Sounds like his dealer has committed to replace his truck as well and he will be going dark paint since they seem to have colors that match.
Based on dialogues we have had with others on this forum FCA probably needs to shut down white and tricoat white production. It appears from recent thread in this forum FCA may have already shut down two tone orders.
Here are 4 pictures of the poor paint on my truck and a picture someone posted on the forum asking if I saw issues with their truck. Their match was clearly a problem from a distance but when i zoomed in to show the cab and bed you can clearly see the grey almost no pearl bed and the creamy pearl paint on the cab.
FCA has a severe quality control problem.
Everyone with a white or pearl white truck needs to look closely at their truck and open a case with FCA so they know how bad their paint quality is. For now they keep telling our dealers that no one else is complaining.
Really....quality control is not about waiting for people to complain...doesn't sound very American sounds like it some European company to me. SAD
I appreciate your comments and am sure I will get resolution on mine. Bigger concern is all those folks that may not have the voice or relationships to get their issues resolved. Lots of comment about FCA customer support not be any help.
As for my European quality comment. I agree with you that my comment was too broad. There are lots of high quality cars made in Europe. I should have been more specific and said Italy and more precisely FIAT.
Now we are in agreement. Yes the Fiat curse seems to have plagued Chrysler since the partnership. Once again, I wish you all the best.I appreciate your comments and am sure I will get resolution on mine. 1. Off the lot
2. Longhorn Crew Cab
3. July 2018 Build
4. Problems:
-- Squeak in the console lid
-- Boomy bass in HK audio
-- Paint color of the back half of truck doesn't match the front. Specifically the white is whiter than the cab and the lower 2 tone in the back also doesn't match the front.

Opposite actually... this forum is a grain of sand in the bigger picture. With the amount of trucks made every month there's always going to be little issues. Just a sad fact of manufacturing these days.Jesus, is it me, or there is a lot of **** going wrong with these new trucks. I think aside 2-3 people, everyone else has had an issue.
