Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Hello. After reading through this thread I failed to find an answer on if anyone was successful on adding ttpms to a 2019 or 2020 DT. And yes, there is a 100% chance I missed that answer. Can someone please take the time to tell me if it can be done on a 2020 1500? Thanks
You would have to swap a 2021+ BCM into your truck, which requires the dealer to program it for you, or you can send me your current bcm, and I can flash it to a 2021+ for you (no dealer visit needed for that method).
When you do this, you will also have to swap in a 2021+ 4x4 switch cluster.

I swear I saw an aftermarket system for trailer tire pressure. Possibly on etrailer.com, I get their emails all the time, because I bought trailer tires there before.
I just use a tireminder for my camper 150 bucks and just plugs in and works

Thanks Jimmy for the reply and information. It's good to know it can be done. I am not sure if that juice is worth the squeeze. I like an integrated option, but with aftermarket options out there it's harder to justify the time and hassle. Thanks again!

Bought new tires, wheels for our camper and sensors off Ebay part number 68433188AA I have tried to pair them many different ways and they will not pair with my truck. I have plugged trailer in, started truck, and aired tire up to 70psi and let out all the way down to 20 psi. I even let out air for 20 seconds stopped for 10 and started again for 20 more seconds and still no luck attached are the pictures of parts

For the 2019, and anyone that gets the Trailer TPMS to populate in the UConnect but not in the dashboard after enabling the settings, you will need to swap to a newer EVIC / Instrument Cluster. I used P/N #68453471AD, but any 2021 7" 1500 EVIC Instrument Cluster should work.

I ordered the TTPMS stuff from MoparParts on 9/5/24. I already got the custom cable from Jimmy07. There’s been no update on the order. Just curious what others experience has been.

Disregard after contacting them the replied with the tracking number. Good news, the parts are getting delivered today.

I finally completed the whole installation and configuration of the TTPMS system on my 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie. Thanks to all your tips and help.

Once question though, after it’s all setup and configured, so the sensors ‘go to sleep’ when the trailer is stationary? As you can see, the pressures were showing but later they are not. I haven’t hooked up the trailer to tow it anywhere but hoping they’ll ’wake up’ once the wheels start rotating.

Is that to be expected?

Yes they activate after driving for a few minuets.

Now, the question is, where do the 4 wires for that module terminate. You would need to see if they are present in the left chassis harness that the rear facia harness plugs into. I could build you the harness for that module to integrate, instead of replacing the whole rear facia harness, and I can point you to what wires you need to look for in the left chassis harness.
Jimmy can you help me with this

After completing this install on my 2022 1500 Laramie, when it works, it works. But after the engine has been off a day or more, I’m guessing that time, it resets the target TTPMS pressure back to 50 psi. I had to setup (relearn) everything before leaving on our camping trip a few days ago setting the target psi to 65. It worked all the way to our destination and we even stopped to refuel once which we shut off the engine. However, today I noticed the target pressure reset back to 50 psi.

Thoughts?

I have a set of four factory sensors for sale if any one is interested. Came with truck but don’t need them. Hope it’s ok to post this here.

My 2022 Bighorn never saved the settings until UC5 was upgraded from version MY22.S21C.6-PROD to MY22.S23.13-PROD, it has worked ok ever since.

My 24 3500 does this as well.

I've gotten over it. I'm just happy all 6 sensors sync up like they're supposed to whenever I get moving.

If there is a fix I don't know of one. I tried relearn, reset, and saving everything a few times to no avail.

Hallo!
I finally had the time to mount the hardware for the TTPMS and configurate it with AlfaOBD.
For some reason I still don't get the Trailer as a Setting in the Uconnect5.
On the attached images you can se the settings I did. Can you see something wrong or did I miss something?
I let the car stand overnight, but no changes. In order to check if AlfaOBD was working correctly, I enabled the performance gauges, which showed up next morning. But no Trailer settings.
Happy to hear some ideas what it could be.
