tonneau covers that work with the multifunction tailgate?

Anyone able to find any of these bolts lately?

M8-1.25 x 80mm Flat Head Socket Cap Screws, Stainless Steel A2-70, DIN 7991, Allen Socket Drive,Full Thread, Machine Thread, 10 PCS, M8PT-N6J-80mm-10PCS
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BFBYSBY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hhIHFbP6M62HH

All Amazon is showing for the longest right now is 65 mm. I found one but can’t tell if it’s full thread or partial thread. Hopefully picking up a undercover ultra this weekend and would like to get it installed. Right-on brackets arriving today so that’ll be my only hold up.

My idea worked perfectly. This should also help the guys with the rails not have to take chunks out of the rails to get them to fit. Thread size is
M8x1.25 x 80mm you won’t be able to find them in store (even fastenal and grainger did not have them.

link to bolts:

would a partial thread 80mm work or even a 65mm full/partial thread? Having difficulty finding the 80mm in either stainless or black. Does it have to be 12.9 grade? Can it be the 10.9 grade?

I found these on Amazon. Hoping they‘ll work.

Try BoltDepot.com
They are my go-to for "must have" items. Great inventory, great price, fast shipping. A bit more expensive than going to Home Depot, but that's due to shipping.

So I put on the RightOnBracket and the driver side bracket works great. It's nice and flush with the M8-1.25 x 80mm Flat Head. But on the passenger side, it's not as flat and when I look at the bracket, the holes don't align as well as they do on the rightside and the pattern is inverted. Did I get a bad set or are they made like this internationally?

I installed mine today and this is how they looked. They should look like opposites when installed (hope that makes sense to you). I also did not have to cut/trim any of the plastic for the brackets to fit.

I did mine (the posts and pics are upstream). I had a minor issue with the pax side. The painted bolt and washer that is visible in your pictures, the body-color ones, were the problem. The bracket hole did not clear the washer. I used some cone-head bolts to try to "adjust" the bracket's position, but that did not work. Instead, I had to remove the body-painted bolt and washer (which ordinarily don't get removed for this), and then I ground down the washer on one side. A bit of paint, and then I bolted it back in (loose) and was able to get the bracket installed. Then I tightened down the body-color bolt. (I did it like that so the asymmetric washer (that way since I ground off part of it) would "clock" itself correctly.

So, a bit of elbow grease, some grinding, and mine finally fit. And I loctited it to make sure I wouldn't have to do it again. ;)

Yeah my bracket looks different.

Yeah so my bracket looks different. On the passenger side, where you have 3 holes against the cab, my bracket has 4 and the large hole that’s for the bolt that’a supposed to cover the painted bolt, it’s alignment is for the holes against the cab. So I took the painted bolt out, and put in the flat screws and it still did not sit as flush as the driver side.

I’m assuming this one is the passenger side bracket. Could you post a full pic of the bracket. I’m sure @rightonbracket will make it right if it’s the wrong bracket. Just asking here to clarify, did you place the 4 holes over the side wall holes and the 3 holes over the cab side? Will the holes line up? Just from the looks of this picture it seems that it should work. Again not trying to be a smart a$$ here, I’m just asking.

I wasn’t sure at first the hole would clear the painted bolts washer either but as I tightened the front cab side bolts first it pulled the bracket forward enough to clear them. @rightonbracket has don’t a great job engineering them. I just wish these tonneau cover companies would start modifying their covers for the MFT.(With the caveat that you’ll have to change to this style bracket to install)

Now my work begins trying to installing the undercover ultra flex. There’s another member on here that’s installed one but didn’t post any pics of how he did it and isn’t with his truck to take any. If the ideas I have for installation works, I’ll post pics and steps here for others to follow/see.

Yeah I thought I uploaded them all but here is the other side of the bracket. I’m holding it the only way it aligns.

If the holes align then it’s the correct bracket. Just start with the cab side bolts first and it’ll pull it forward over the painted bolt/washer. Basically the brackets are mirror images of each.

They aren’t, that’s my point. The larger hole on the driver side, fits over the painted bolt. So that’s 4 holes and then the 3 holes on the cab. For the passenger side, both sides have 4 bolts (unlike the driver side) and the larger hole for the painted bolt, doesn’t align for the painted bolt. Just wondering if I got a wrong bracket. If you got two backets, with 7 holes each then I got a wrong bracket.

You did. They should be mirror images. Get with @rightonbracket and I’m sure they’ll correct it. They should see these as I’ve tagged them.

They do screw in, I can get them lined up and bolted in, but when I do, it sticks out pretty far.

I’m assuming further out than the drivers side bracket? Could be an early edition bracket that got thrown in by mistake. They do stick out some as they need the strength. Let me run outside and take a couple pics of mine installed. BRB 😀🏃🏼🏃🏻🏃🏽🏃🏾🏃🏿

ok so maybe I’m looking at this wrong, but I got excited about this one and I thought they should both look like this. Maybe there is something with the driver side then because it’s almost completely flush. The first picture is the view from above it. It barely sticks out.

It looks like your plastic caps stick out a little further than mine. Mine are flush with the metal, not sure if that’s good or bad. Could be the reason mine look like they stick out a little more than yours.
