Haven't tested that really, just went out and pressed on it though. Feels less rigid than the Backflip did. That is a very subjective question though

for sure. The gator recoil felt horrible and at 75mph it was bowing like a vinyl cover. holding puddles of water too. My Ultra flex on my last truck was rock solid,

After trying 5 covers, I found one that suits my OCD and does not need (much) modification. The UnderCover Ultraflex - this is my third one and love the cover (2009 ram, 2018 GMC and now 2019 ram).
You’ll need to trim the seal about the length of the bracket, and use flush mount bolts on the brackets themselves. Other than that, easy install and looks great.

I have the brackets on the way from Right on. I also have Bak MX4 ordered. I saw how the rails will have to be cut to fit for the BAK x4 rolling type i think it will be about the same for the MX4 folding. Do any of you think the Right on bracket can be cut down slightly to make the rails of the BAK covers fit better? I am more comfortable tearing up a 90 bracket than a 1k tonneau cover.

Actually the rails will not need to be cut and the brackets will not need to modified for the MX4. I purchased one from amazon used, but they sent me the 6’4” bed version. Figured since it was used I would still try it out. It fits over the new brackets nicely. The only thing I would recommend is to use flush mount bolts that I posted earlier. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. At this point, I think I have tried 6 total tonneaus for the platform.lol!

Oh that is good news. Since I already have the mx4 coming today for pick up at a local store I will just attempt to install it. If it won't go or looks like I need to modify the rails then I will return it. There really should be a list of the tonneau's that will work with the right on brackets and one that would require some modifications.

I will come post some pics after my attempt to see if this all works. Thank you

Make sure you do the flush mount bolts. If not you'll have to cut a chunk out of the rail.

Has anyone gone with the Diamond Back SE cover with 5'7" bed and MFT? If so, any issues or insights? Thanks in advance.

Did you countersink the bracket to get the bolts flush?

Quite certain it works just fine.
Thanks. Not worried about fit but more interested in how folks like it or don't like it since it has a butterfly type opening for the front and rear panels. I was wondering if the access area is large enough generally without having to keep taking it on and off. It's a pretty impressive looking cover.

The Bak mx4 will NOT fit. The brackets only have a front to back adjustment on the rails. The top will not bolt down.

@Alxmlr789 I really appreicate the insight on the installation of the Undercover Ultraflex. I'm interested in moving forward in purchasing the same cover. I have a few questions for you:

1. How is the cover holding up to water?
2. You mentioned trimming the seal the length of the bracket. Can you provide more clarification on that?
3. Are there any other modifications other than the Right On Brackets (I currently have them) and the new flush bolts?
4. After having it installed for a few days, have you noticed anything that would change your opinion on the cover?

Any information/insight helps.

I am taking the mx4 back to the store today. I will be ordering the undercover armor. I can see how the mounting of this cover will work vs the Bak mx4. It was so close. If someone was willing to drill a new hole in one side of the bracket it would work. About 1/4 inch off is all. It was dark and I was very frustrated so I didn't take any pics.

Time to throw MFT hat in the ring...

Right on brackets and a Truxedo Pro X15.
I cut my rails and gave the raw aluminum a quick shot of paint. The instructions state the frost clamp should be 6-7" off the rear bed wall. My clamps sit at 10" due to the bracket. If I had a deeper clamp, I could clamp the rail closer. This works for now. So far I really like the ProX15. Only negative so far is the lever to release the cover is a little behind the MFT frame when you open it bar door style.

I'm the previous owner of a Gator Trifold VP and a Bak Revolver. All have their pros and cons.

Big thanks to @Alxmlr789 on his recommendation of the Undercover Ultra Flex. I installed along with the Right On Brackets and all seems to be working well. Low profile design is secure and keeps out most of the water. I have since added additional weather-stripping near the bulkhead (still need to test water resistance after install). I think they only thing I may do is secure the front clamps with longer bolts to ensure they are seating properly at the bracket location.

Thanks for posting the info on the Undercover Ultraflex. I installed mine today and it went exactly as you described. I love the cover! I spent the most time getting the Right On Brackets to fit ( well over an hour of drilling to slot the holes). The rail side of the brackets lined up perfectly on both sides, however all six cab side bed rail holes were off by 1/4 to 1/2 hole. I appreciate the fact that Right On Brackets are making these, but I know others have had the same problem. Maybe they could slot the holes if the fit is not exact on every truck.
