The issue is likely that the gateway was bypassed. I had to do this to use a Tazer on our Scat Pack. If using the version of the Tazer like mine from 2019, you are basically wiring around a security feature with the double bypass harness when you do it. However, I will say that our Scat Pack went in for warranty work several times. And there was never anything said. I didn't leave the Tazer in the vehicle and the bypass harness was well hidden. But the bypass harness was there, and the modifications were still programmed in. To be exact, I didn't unmarried it when we traded the Scat Pack for the Laramie. So that bypass harness is still in the car, the fog lights stay on with high beams, the seatbelt bell is muted and there is a front facing camera installed that works through car's camera system and controls. I don't know how that will affect the second owner. But it is what it is.
Also, I am very sorry for the OP that lost his warranty last year due to the Tazer. I was going to have mine unmarried and flashed for a RAM, install a bypass and use it on the Laramie. But I'm not going to now. A Throttle Commander doesn't change code, but I wonder if warranty work can be turned down due to it as well?
