My take from the conversation was, let's see how much more $ we can get out of this guy. They told me flat out, don't take it if you want, we'll turn around and sell it for more. Other than losing a customer for life with this treatment, in the short term they put you between a rock and a hard place and try to get more profit either way.

My Window sticker says YOY Price Protection April 7 2021 and YOY Price Protection May 3 2021

I'd let them sell it to someone else and let them know you won't be back.

if your window sticker SAYS price protection, might be worth contacting @RamCares or Stellantis directly, that means its more than likely the dealer is trying to F*ck you out of the money because they KNOW they could likely just get you to pay it. and pocketing that extra fee. get involved, go over their heads and make this process painful for them.

If you have to, Excoriate them in every possible platform. crappy car salesmen hate bad press...

if and when they actually make my truck and the dealer tries to charge me more after having to wait 10 plus months while people who ordered months after me got theirs. i am walking away. talk about insult to injury. if anything , they should be giving me a discount or more for my trade. they don't care though. they can just sell it for more if i don't buy it.

this isnt a ram corporate issue outside of ram being Notoriously poor about Policing their shady dealerships. individual dealers can for the most part do as they please because they are privately owned

Interesting bit of information- I asked Ram Chat about my status last Monday and they said they had gathered parts and were scheduling, but had no date. I asked the dealer (MD) the same day, and they said it would be built on 10/25, and they were exactly right!
So at least 1 week out, the dealer was able to give accurate build date info.

it was not built on 10-25 as those build sheets will not be released until 10-26

The window sticker does say price protection. I just don't know what that actually means. Is that protecting the price that Stellantis charges the dealer?

Anyone need a good laugh today? I just texted my sales guy telling him I am getting frustrated with the lack of movement and information concerning my sold order. Lol he replies that it has to be something with the Eco Diesel I ordered like maybe an emission issue. I told him that I am a member of this website and they have the ability to track members vin numbers and builds. I told him several Eco Diesels have been built. He hasn’t replied yet. I think I got him scrambling. He knows that if something don’t move soon I will start talking to my co-workers about it. The dealership don’t want that to happen lol. I already asked the UAW if they could have any influence. Yes I am a Stellantis employee and to them I am just another customer my steward said. So I guess I am still in the waiting game hoping to see my name pop up on the new build sheet list.

Thanks a lot for the heads up! I feel slightly guilty my order has gone so smoothly. Dealer called a week ago to say it was scheduled for 10/24 and I am surprised it actually came true

I only scanned for TRX's for 2021 and that was just over 15000 trucks. Sounds like a fun project for tomorrow though, will report back once I have some results to share.

Update on the 2021 project for comparison data that I started last week, it is getting close to being complete. I have validated all VINS, downloaded all Build Sheets and Window Stickers and am in the process of scanning all of them to aggregate the data now. Oddly enough that is taking as long as the actual search, Computer doesn't like opening, importing and closing, 800,000 PDF’s for some reason

I've got nothing yet from my dealer. Truck was built oct.6 and still waiting on delivery. Once delivered ill let you know how it goes for pricing.

So my dealer Peel Chrysler Jeep in Mississauga Ontario Canada called me this morning. My truck finally arrived, this is a truck I ordered in Feb 2021. My sales guy has been telling me the whole time that the price would not increase. Now a sales manager calls me and tells me the the truck will cost $3945 more to pick it up this week. Take it or leave it. For the other guys that have had trucks flipped from 2021 to 2022 models, did your dealer charge you more when the truck arrived?

Absolutely not. Price protected as per Chrysler.

Absolutely not. My dealership in Waterloo,On.(Bustards) honoured my original deal.
