Hey all, I'm posting on behalf of my father who has a 2019 5th Gen Laramie. He got it in February of 2019, so fairly early, after his 2018 was taken out when he was t-boned by a drunk driver going 50. The truck did a great job of protecting my parents thankfully.
For as long as he's had the truck, when applying the brakes at speeds over 50, there is a high pitch squeal for the first couple of seconds the brakes are applied. It doesnt seem to happen at lower speeds, and generally seems to happen when he's been driving for a bit. To my ear it sounds like its coming from the rear brakes. It stops if you let off the brakes which he does often as it clearly irritates him, understandably.
It doesnt seem to quite match the groaning while backing out, such as pulling out of a driveway, that I have seen mentioned in one of the TSBs, although he backs into the garage so he doesnt have to do much braking while leaving. He's had it into the dealer 3 or 4 times now. I believe last time they replaced the rotors and brake pads.
Has anyone else had this issue and got a resolution? I've seen a few posts that sound like similar issues, but most of them are old now and there isnt a lot of followup on if the issue was resolved. I'm wondering if there are more TSBs he should have the dealer look at.
I found this post which mentioned 3 TSBs listed below. I believe the dealer used the first two mentioned. Might be worth asking about the 3rd, but Im wondering if there is something newer.

1: 05-001-19 which was to replace the caliper adapter, pads, pins and bolts.
2: 05-001-19 Rev A was to replace the caliper adapter, pads and bolts.
3: 05-002-19 is to add the rear brake moan kit, which is the brackets and u-bolt.

Anyone attempt the squeaky rear brakes themselves?
Dealer looked, and said it's normal. And quite frankly, it drives me nuts, and its inconvenient and a pain in my *** to go back and forth and leave my truck there for 3 days while they do nothing. So far, I'm aware there are 1) revised rear pads 2) shims and 3) some half-*** bracket kit with a...
