Slight vibration

Drove a family members 2019 Silverado LTZ and man at highway speeds even the littlest bumps made the whole truck shudder for nearly a full second. Kinda frightening...

Brother recently bought a Tradesman with NEXEN 18 inch tires. HORRIBLE vibrations. Decided to change the tires but didn't have any other 18's to replace it with. Took the wheels and tires off a REBEL (same 18 inch tire but A/T).

What do you know. Smoothest driving truck you ever seen.
CON: Ram Rebel tires are noisey, but ride improved 100%. No vibrations.

So, he's got a tradesman with Rebel Wheels and Tires. I assume that the switch is ok longterm. His gas mileage probably sucks now with the A/T tires.

Do what I did before giving up and going lemon law. Find a good tire shop, not a chain, but a privately owned joint with a good reputation. Most dealerships are clueless when it comes to tires and or vehicle vibrations, it's a rare case to find one with proper equipment and trained employees. If a tooth needs attention you go to the dentist, not the walk-in.... actually the dealership is more like a back alley clinic but you get the idea. Go see a specialist, not a general practitioner. I understand that having to go though this ******** on a brand new warrantied vehicle is unacceptable but when it comes to the tires we are the ones who get the shaft. I have two egg shaped Duelers that, when time is on my side, will be sent to Bridgestone with my warmest regards :poop:

Is your plan that ram is going to pay for this independent shop visit. Or save receipts and ask for it back at lemon law time?

I paid for the visit/two new tires and went into it not caring about any compensation, just fixing the problem. Some would say I'm a sucker but the issues I had are behind me. My plan is to send the defective tires back to Bridgestone and see what comes of it. I might begin an email correspondence with Ram but not going to waste too much time on it. To be fair I gave the dealership one shot at the vibration issue, but I knew it was a dead end right away when they fed me the usual lines

So new tires fixed your issue? How many miles did you do this at? Mine has been bad from first 1000 miles. Has 8000 now!

New tires fixed my vibration problems, which were present from day one. I replaced them at 3k or 4k, now at 7k with no issues

Like I said on a Gen 5 Tradesman, changing the stock tires out fixed the vibration issue.

The truck now has REBEL wheel and tires. GoodYear Wrangler Duratecs. the tires are a bit noisy but smooth.

I think this is smart. I wonder if there is any additional wear and tear associated with the slight vibration issue like premature suspension wear. I certainly started enjoying my truck more once I replaced the wheels and tires and the vibration went away. For all the money that many people spend on mods, I think spending the money to fix a problem like this is well worth it. Yes, FCA should cover it, but they don't.

My rims and tires came from a Gen 5 Tradesman:unsure:.... Where they 275/65 r18 Bridgestone Dueler model 685?

So today's comical update is there's nothing wrong with the truck its because its a rcsb and thats how they are ...oh and it didn't vibrate on the lift so there's no problem ugh I told them to keep the truck @RamCares but yesterday they felt the vibration and today they can't..

LT275/70R18E OWL All–Terrain Tires GoodYear Wrangler Duratec

the spare is a 275/65 r18
Sorry for the confusion. Were the original tires that had vibration Bridgestone Duelers?

Back in the shop. They tell me mine is the first one to have this issue!

Three different dealers in Iowa tell me the same thing. I’ve asked if it could be the tires since day one, every one said no way it’s the tires and now they tell me it’s the tires! So I call Bridgestone today the lady was pissed at ram and said they should of tried the tires a long time ago. She also told me that they have a contract with ram and all dealers can replace 2 tires for free. The dealers here tell me no, that I have to go to a tire shop! Dealer also says all four ties are bad at 8000 miles m. I’m so sick of there games!

I’ll check back in another 6 months

Not to be smart but will some one please explain to me what "Road Forced Balanced: is for tires? Is that the old school spinner balance?
