Slight vibration

Let me know if bumping the tire pressure up to 40 helps

One other thing to check, it's possible for tire to slip on their bead after being mounted and balanced, this can happen if there was too much lubricant used when mounting the tire. Often times tires will have a red dot indicating the high point of the tire, this dot should be aligned with the valve stem. It may start out aligned with the stem but if the tire slips they can be come misaligned creating vibrations. I have one red dot that is misaligned with the stem and one that's aligned like it should be. Tire's do not always have dots on them.

I get the same vibrations. Kind of feels like I'm driving over rumble strips (and yes I'm sure I'm not driving over rumble strips.)

I get this too, right at 60mph. Super detailed vibration information. I will be watching this thread.

Same here. I described it as a wobble in my post but driving over rumble strips details it well too. It always seems to be bad when first driving after sitting for a while, and then mellows out. On same days it’s not there at all. I’m also getting a vibration in the gas pedal and floor boards when in the 1500-1800 rpm range. It comes and goes, but really bad when in 4WD Auto.

I feel the vibration as well. Mine occurs around 70-80 mph. Very slight but definitely noticeable. With the radio off, I can actually hear a high pitched noise in conjunction with the vibration frequency coming from what seems to be the driver front side. Took it to the dealer who said they balanced the tires but I’m still getting the shake. Hope a fix is in the works, due to it being what seems to be a widespread and consistent issue.

Problem solved for me! I just traded back to a brand new 18. Same truck, previous year. No shakes, no vibrations, rides as smooth as could be (and this truck sit on the lot for a while)
I feel for you guys having this issue. Got out of mine while I could (didn't dare mention this to dealer). I paid $524 more.newram.jpg

I was having the same vibration issues as most. Most noticed are the 60 mph range. I have a limited with the 3.92 rear end and the 275 55 20 bridge stones. Have had the tires rebalanced and it didn't help much. Although the road force numbers weren't in the red but they weren't far from it. I cant remember the exact numbers. So a few weeks ago I moved the tire pressure to 42lbs and the vibration greatly decreased. Still had a very slight vibration in the steering wheel so I rotated the tires and now its smooth as can be. I'm pretty sure mine is a tire or wheel that's now on the rear but it's less noticeable. But I definitely seen a big difference on the pressue increase.

I haven’t had a chance to take mine to the dealer. Has anyone got the dealers opinion?

I dont think its the tires!!! Several of us have different tires. Some have Bridgestone, some have Goodyears, and some have the cheaper Nexen (I have Nexen). Every different kind of tire could not exhibit the same vibration, and even so at the specific speed stated to reproduce it.

I think we're dealing with something far more puzzling than tires!

Yeah, know all about the Chevy shake, and Ford has the shake too.

Could it be that the 19's have some kind of drive-line vibration?

@ 63 MPH I get just a slight vibration especially with Cruise Control on...Take cruse off it stops! Then with cruse off get to 63 MPH level off and hold speed the take foot off gas pedal it smooths right out!
3.92 gear
20 Inch Bridge Stones

******What rims are we running?************ I have the painted/polished rims. I just wonder if it could be rim issue?

Glad your solved! But I like my power running boards,Console,HK speakers and some more options I like......... Not to mention the rear of the crew cab floor and rear seats with my E-torque and e locker! I have to tough mine out...LOL.

There were things about the 19 I did like and it was a tough decision.... More like a trade-off.

I do think the transmission is alot smoother in the 19.
I did like the LED lighting in the 19.
The backup cam was alot better in the 19. Almost HD quality.

I still have a console, Uconnect with NAV, and most features in the 18. and there is NO way I wouldn't have lost my a** if I had waited any longer to switch back.

But the vibration would have driven me nuts, and I don't have the time to be running back forth to a dealer 40 miles away. So, like I said, a trade-off - - a new features vs ride quality.

I am just going to buy an extended warranty from Zeigler and I should be covered for almost anything for the next 7 years.

Their promo code of "payinfull" is still valid for $365 off.

Yes. I like all features you named as well plus the flat rear floor with more storage,I like the new console with the slider in it never knew it was the same on the 19 and 18 both I must not of noticed it when I drove the 18 that day. The ride quality of the 19 is awesome and yes the transmission on the 19 over the 14 model is very smooth and with E-Locker.
I bet your right in thinking if you had waited longer the loss you could have experienced would have not been good. But When I tried out the 18 Laramie it was not much difference at all over my 14 and I was just going to keep my 14 until I drove the 19 that day.....I had to order me a 19 I liked all the ride differences and features over my 14. The slight Vibration I'm sure will be resolved....The Air suspension on mine rides well over the 14 but there was and is still issues with Air suspension not defaulting to NRH like it should. Feel confident it will be solved okay.
Good luck to you on the 18 and glad your happy, nothing would be worse than to have one your not happy with and driving you bonkers...lol.

I have the same vibration issue. I find it at any speed with low engine rpm's ( around 1300 to 1600) with a slight load on the accelerator. I am thinking mine might be related to the transmission. It's coming up on winter and I have been trying out the 4-high. It doesn't seem to be working as I think it should. Even in 4-high, I am getting rear wheel hop when taking any kind of corner and there is a fairly loud whine. In other vehicles I have had, 4-high was pretty free wheeling with no noticeable difference than 2 wheel. I am bring my truck in next week to be looked at.

Lydia should I do the same and send you a pm because I too have this problem and since this is a new truck I kind of would like it to be fixed to lol

So glad to come across this post. I’m not losing my mind like I was beginning to think. 19 Laramie with 20” inch bridgestones and 3.21 gears, 3,200 miles. Took it to the dealer and they roadforce balanced the tires and said two were out of balance. They said vibration went away. Went and picked it up and got a mile down the road and felt it right away. Like another posted it does seem to come and go, but I really notice it more when I pull my little utility trailer. Some days it doesn’t feel like it does it at all. Definitely between that 50-65 mph area. I guess no point in taking back to the dealer till someone finds the cause for sure. Very frustrating for sure.

I've got the same issue with mine..right about 58 MPH. Waiting to see what everyone finds out
