Self parking does not work and dealer cannot fix it.

It’s not - believe I looked everywhere. The only thing listed where it should be is to have auto brake on for the ebrake or to dislocate the brakes for service

Shouldn’t it be right here

No, that's not the right screen for it - IIRC, it's under Safety or something on the 12" screen. I'll try to check at lunch time ... pretty sure I disabled it on my truck.

It defaults to passenger side parallel parking, unless you tell it differently by pressing the ok button and / or using your turn signal stalk.
Correct. I just tried it this past weekend (parallel) and it worked great. No need for blinker unless you want to park on the driver's side. Easy peasy.

Yay! Glad I could help.

Some of the settings in uConnet are weird. There's a section for Navigation settings in the main Settings menu (accessed via the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the 12" screen) but also more Nav settings in the full-screen Nav screen. It reminds me of the Mac/Windows or iPhone/Android differences. One will have all the settings in one place (Apple products) and the other has them spread out in multiple places (Microsoft/Google).

Heck, I'm still looking for a definitive list of voice commands for uConnect. Coming from a Ford, I'm used to different commands, and it can be quite frustrating for simple tasks I do every day.

It sounds like some PA find parking spots easier than others. Mine can't find one period. I'm really hoping whatever sensor or system is defective doesn't serve a dual purpose for something safety related.

I'm looking forward to try it when it gets here.
Any truck I've had I had no problems bumping the front wheel up onto the curb and dropping it down into the spot. Passengers were always like, "a person who knows how to drive a truck" .. LOL -- they've always been longer beds, so you had to.

Update - The latest rounds of fixes have all failed. The case has been escalated with FCA and if they can't fix it they will buy it back from me.

My Parking Assist won't even activate. The amber light doesn't come on when pushing it and I've never had it work. Trying to find time to take back to dealer for them to look at it.

I have tried the park assist a few times. Only issue I have is you can’t use it in a busy Parking lot. By the time I locate and pass the spot to back In...someone is going to grab it behind me lol

I find that even in a fairly busy lot, putting on my blinker to indicate that I'm parking, is enough to keep the spot-stealers at bay.

I had an interesting one last week - I went to parallel park, and used PA, and it was gonna hit the curb (the cars in front and back were right up on it) and I wasn't willing to risk it, and it was a very tight spot to begin with, so I pulled back out and parked elsewhere. Oh well.

 Some people have hated new technology since they came out with automatic spark advance.

I don't use it, but since I paid for it, I would want it to work the way it's supposed to work.

I agree 100%.....and those saying otherwise are being obtuse. It's like saying don't worry about your rear power window, CD player, heated mirrors, etc. if it doesn't work if you never use it. It's something that was an option/expense on a brand new truck (included in the cost of that new truck) and it should work. If it wasn't designed properly or didn't have all the kinks worked out then it should not have been offered as an option.

If it were me I'd petition FCA for a refund of the option cost listed on the window sticker (plus tax since that was factored in when you paid for the truck) and threaten legal action. Save all your paperwork and document everything. I'd even go as far as recording my phone calls/conversations with them as ammo on my side to challenge this and get it taken care of.

I haven't tried mine yet.. But for me.. Living where I do.. When I go somewhere and have to park.. I always go to the farthest parking spot hike in from there..

Of course it never fails when you come out.. there are Two Bondo Bombers parked right next to you..

Sad, but it's true.

Update 2. The gave me a loaner Chevy pickup since it is taking so long. At exactly 30 days since they've been working on it they called and said the latest round of new parts has not fixed the issue. They have replaced everything associated with the PA function and it is still broken. The next step is to pitch it back to tech support ( they call it something else ) at FCA to see what they recommend now. I may have to actually lemon law this new truck over a stupid feature but I can't risk that the "lemon" runs deep. My seats are peeling anyways. Ugg.

I just use the surround camera when pulling into a space. Yes I have to turn it back on after reversing but it helps a lot.

I was able to get the self parking to work two or three times total in hours of trying right after I bought the truck. I gave up on using self parking but asked the dealer to look at it when it was in for recalls. They couldn't get it to work a single time but told me there is no repair procedure for it and nothing they can do about it. They don't have any other limited's with self parking to test so I don't know if it affects them all. Has anybody been able to get the self parking feature to work?
I have the same issue and at this point I have given up on it too. Kinda bitter sweet..... One that feature was just for showing off purposes really...... On the other hand it was a major selling feature and ticks me pic that out doesn't work and for the dealer to say they have no fix for it further pisses me off. More people need to make videos showing this feature is BS. I used it earlier when I was at the grocery store and when it did pick up a parking spot it had me parking across slanted lines and not a real parking spot.

I know this is an old post, but I experience issues with my Active ParkSense, and this was the only post I could find on the subject.
My problem ended up being related to my TazerDT. Uninstalled (UnMarried) and rebooted and suddenly my Active Parksense worked again.
It is nice to know that feature still works for when I inevitably sell or trade the vehicle.
