Rebel X

I ordered the Rebel X and GT on May 02. The GT arrived in mid-November, while the X is still in production. I am happy I purchased the GT, but that red stitching isn't for me. Both the Rebel X and GT are relatively the same. It also appears there are more Rebel X's than GT's out there.
How does the GT exhaust sound with the 3.0 Hurricane SO engine?

So what is different with the X? It looks nice. I see the stitching is different and it looked like the passenger had a screen as well.
It appears the "Rebel X" is the 2025 version of the previous "Rebel G/T"(??), very nice!!

Rebel X and GT are 2 different packages. Selecting GT Package alone requires Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group too.
Unique to the GT package are the Performance Pages and Passive Cold End Exhaust where the Rebel X doesn't have them.1733970089214.png1733970089214.png

This!

Another tragic shortcoming ... the X doesn't get the HO option. Just like the GT doesn't get the HO option.
Just tragic.
I have a 23 GT now and see no reason to get it in 25. Worse MPG and lack luster sound.

I agree..I LOVE the Hemi Rumble of my '24 Larry G/T..especially when run in "Tow/Haul" Mode! (which is almost 100% of the time).
Plus, I can easy get 20mpg without much effort..if you can manage not to heavy foot the throttle..I feel like T/H Mode is easier on fuel (but most of my driving is 35-55mph country roads, I'm rarely on the highways anymore).

I came from a 2017 RAM with a HEMI and a flow master 40 series muffler. What I'm in now purrs. Very quiet.

How has your guys' gas mileage been? I have put 2000 miles on it and am averaging 14MPG exactly. Not what I had hoped. Do you think this will get better with time as the engine breaks in?

I would say the break in process is probably over at 2000 miles. A good break in is heavy throttle for short periods but not high RPM. Then low RPM light throttle to cool the piston rings after loading. Repeat often.

Great info, thanks.

After 5,500 miles my hand calculated average is 17.42 mpg using only premium fuel.
The tank refills ranged from the highest 20.1 mpg down to 15.7 mpg .

Another fun fact: The Rebel X rear seat reclines, but for the normal Rebel with any options does not add that rear seat recline.

If I am wrong, I'd love to hear why! Because I walked away from a 2025 rebel, Level 2 package for $58k out the door because I noticed the rear seat and started wondering what else might missing. I'd rather just get a Rebel X versus adding options to a Rebel, ya know?

I have a Rebel GT, and the rear seats recline and are heated.

On my 2023 Laramie I installed the G/T exhaust and it sounded great. How does the exhaust sound on the 2025 G/T it's suppose to be performance oriented like the previous G/T's ?

Awfully quiet compared to a HEMI

The GT was suppose to have the cold end performance exhaust. So it doesn't sound any different than the other Hurricane SO engines?
Does the Performance Pages show Boost or Intercooler Air Intake Temp like the RHO ?

Are you using premium fuel because you tow? Or worried about a CL code?

I want to avoid LSPI low speed pre ignition. These engines have cast pistons and can potentially crack after repeated detonation.
The manual says it can run on regular fuel and Direct Connection states for the Cat 1 engine (the 3.0L SO) to use Premium. I too want the most performance from this engine.

Thanks! My new Rebel X was ordered Oct 10, shipped Dec 16, due at final rail yard Dec 24, maybe another week or so to dealer. I will pick it up 1200 miles from my AZ ranch. Any suggestions for this break in trip? Also, what is significant on the alum pistons being diecast vs forged on the HO motor?
Not sure type of fuel the dealer will use to fill the tank.

By the way didn't mention, this is my first gas truck. Always had cumins. Don't tow heavy anymore, so thought, the Rebel X would be a nice change, no more worries about DPF filters, etc.
