I stepped up from my 2008 F350 to a new 2025 Rebel X at the end of December. Boy, has technology changed. We bought the truck mainly for our older big dog, who's enjoying the rear passenger area. The flip-up seats with flat deck area is a boon. I am enjoying many aspects of the truck, including the ultra-smooth ride. Winter handling on our snow and icy roads is confidence-inspiring.
A few things have come up:
Twice now, my dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree with error messages scrolling through the dash. When it settles down, I turn the ignition off. When turning the ignition back on, the CEL comes on. I go the dealer for a "what's up" warranty visit. This has happened twice. They both returned with a "we don't show anything wrong". Has anyone else had this happen to them, and has the issue been rectified?
The second thing is that the front of the truck is raked down more than the back. When I called the dealer, they said that the trucks are like this so that when a trailer is added, it levels out. Makes sense, except that I'm seeing owner-posted photos of their stock Rebel X trucks that don't have the rake in the front. Are my eyes deceiving me? All I know is that I don't like it and want to get a leveling kit upfront. I am thinking a 2" level kit, but I'm not sure about the best brand to use. I'm not getting new tires or anything else. Any input would be appreciated.
