Rear window surround crack.

I hear you... something tells me there is going to be alot of aftermarket rebuilt crate engines in the system for a while. I don't get the move to turbo engine and all the cylinder deactivate... If I cared about gas mileage I would not buy a truck. I just want simple and reliable engine.
Good luck with that....

Adding myself to this embarrassing list of leaky rear windows (2020, 1500 eTorque)... Blows my mind that this is even an issue to be honest, Ram's poor handling of this is certainly discouraging...

I have ity only on the left side, slight dribles and slightly damp headliner. I've already ruled out the brake light, i'll assume at this point that its the rear window seal and will repair myself rather than have the dealer mangle it out and waste my time.

So, my 2021 1500 Laramie had the same problem in 2024, before warranty had expired (glass is only 12 months). Even though there was a Tech Bulletin addressing this issue, two local area dealers did not check with the factory rep. End of story - there was a problem on some 2019 and later rear window seals (referred to as brake light). Rear window assembly replaced at no cost and warranty extended for a total of 8 years. Worth your time to get factory rep involved. Good luck!

My dealer paid for safelight to come to my house and replace. Safelight use factory glass and reapply my ceramic tint! They do not use a factory seal the use a rubber grommet and 2 tubes of adhesive. Said he really hoped that if it needed done again he would recognize the address and let someone else do it

I mangled it myself with two part 3M urethane, seems thats what the dealership uses rather than silicone. Also read that glass people say don't use silicone, it can be problematic later down the road
