Rear window surround crack.

Could this be more of a third break light issue?

Also any 2019 build owners having this problem?

At the car wash today and now I’m seeing the same issue. Mine was a May 2018 build bought new in December.
Taking it in soon for another faulty backup camera, squeaky brakes and recalls.

Just dropped mine off for the rear glass replacement and saw this parked outside the service shop. Looking like Pano roof, headliner, and windshield pulled on a Longhorn. Yikes!IMG_20190614_085232.jpg

Have there been any more recent incidents of water leakage from the upper rail for he rear window?

mine has a small crack and i do have a small leak but it is not coming from that side. i swear some of my leak is coming thru the 3rd brake light. i have a hunch its not coming from the back window.

Leaking 3rd is also known issue. There's a TSB.

I noticed mine is leaking in this spot with a damp headliner, I don't have any cracks however. Guess I have to make trip to the dealer. Build 8/18

Just went out to the truck. I have leaking at the back window same spot but no crack with damp headliner with Fixed sunroof drains. Nov 18 built
Can you post a picture to show exactly where the leak is. Also is the back carpeting under the window wet.

Geotex1, any idea on the TSB? I don't see it anywhere on the listed TSBs. Unfortunately, after almost a year and 12k, I have the dreaded issue of cracked frame and water intrusion.

Cracked and evidence of very minor water intrusion. The crack goes way up, most likely all the way to outside.
This is a very recent development, was fine about a month ago.IMGP5126 1600 crack..jpg

Does anyone know what is causing this issue?! I have been religiously checking mine. Build date is in august of 2018.

Mine is going to selling dealer this Friday. I asked the service advisor if they had seen any trucks with this issue, they said they hadn't. Will keep this thread updated as issue progresses. My build date is 8/18, so I am seeing a very small trend with us responding to this thread.

Sigh - I've got 2 cracks and a trip through the carwash confirmed water getting inside.

I had traded in an F150 for numerous problems, one of which was water leaks. Taking into the dealer next week. All of the dealers around hear have special water techs so the lead time is much longer for an appointment. The one closest to me was Dec 8th and they also gave the heads up that I may get pushed out further.

Can no one make a new truck that keeps water out of the cab?

This is making me a little worried as well, a check on the GM forum, there is a rather lengthy post on GM forums about rear window leaks as well, pretty much makes this an issue for all three domestics.

I had a 2015 F150 that didn't have any issues, but it was also just an XLT trim with a non-sliding rear window and no moonroof.

Hi kapinallinen2,

Please let us know if you decide to address this with your Ram dealer. We would like to have this documented and provide you with an additional layer of support for that process.

Hi tonyplants & 2wd,

I'm sorry to hear that you both are experiencing this concern as well. If it would be of interest, I would be happy to escalate cases to get you both connected with a Case Specialist for additional support while working with your dealers. Our team is just a private message away.

I have been waiting two months now for a replacement back glass and got a call today that there was no definite delivery date. I emailed my GM at the dealer today and let him know that this was unacceptable and we should discuss buy back or lemon clause or I was going to become unhinged which means lots of free advertising for them. They own 3 Chrysler dealer ships within 45 minutes of my house. I am not above calling the local news and giving them some free press.

Mark, I PMd Ramcares last night. I hope the backorder on rear sliding windows is not as long as Twister is indicating. That is unacceptable, since vehicles are coming off the line each day with new sliding windows.
