Rear window slider cable?

I have a 2020 ram rebel and had the rear window replaced a couple of times due to a water leak.

Anyway, after the glass was replaced a couple of weeks ago I noticed that when you open the rear sliding window, you can see the cable in the window.

I’m guessing it’s normal but don’t remember seeing the cable in the past , although I haven’t used the rear window a lot.

Can someone please let me know if this is the same on your truck or if it should be brought back to window installer?

I can't really tell from your pics but it looks similar to what happened to mine. The connection where my rear window defroster power cable hooks to the glass came completely off. When it was not connected and before I moved the black box over the seat back, I could see the cable bow up when i would open the rear glass. It could be a Rebel thing. 20220423_090445.jpg 20220423_090443.jpg

I do see it now behind the headrest when you open it. My kid's carseat was blocking my view.

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Looks like it is normal. Just find it odd that Ram engineers would design it like that. I have a car seat installed there, so the headrest is always up, so won’t notice it too much.

Yea this is the same cable that is bowing. Is the cable still visible behind the headrest when you open the rear window?
