Rear wall vents noise

Hello first post here and sorry if this was asked before. So i got 2020 Laramie ecodiesel with annoying rear cab wall vents flapping ( see the link to other tread) Initially i thought it was either both of modules loosely installed behind carpet or rear window motor that also vibrates or the sliding window itself. Anyway i drove around with carpet removed obviously it got worse but im 110 % sure its those rubber flaps inside vents i can hear them on bumps but mostly when im coming to a stop they flap/vibrate or whatever you want to call it. Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

Are these vents? This picture was posted by another member after his truck was hit and wrecked in an accident. They look like vents but that would be strange, does anyone know what these are? If vents how do you close them? Are they on all the DTs?

Thank you I'll give it a shot this vibrating noise drives me crazy already... was at the dealer the other day for recall and leaking fuel filter , told service rep. about noise even drove around with him in the back and he could hear it as well...2 hrs later when all done he said mechanics could not recrate the problem or it wasn't enough of loud vibration for them to fix it and this is probably normal lol

It's also possible the vibration could be the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) malfunctioning

I also have a new 2020 Ram 1500, crew, 5.7, Lariat. I previously had the same exact truck, but a 2015, which I loved. My new truck, however, is extremely loud. The noise is caused by the vents behind the rear seat. I even blew 1000 bucks on Michelins, hoping to reduce the noise. (unsuccessfully) My dealer, (Foss Motors in NH) spent 4 hours trying to find the problem (even after I told them it was the vents). The tech, a real good guy, finally agreed with me it was the vents, and said he could not fix them. So, I spent a lot of money on a new truck that I cannot stand to drive! The noise is so annoying, I usually drive my ten year old F250 work truck, which is much quieter! I bought my Ram in September, and only have 2600 miles on it, because I cannot stand the noise! Too bad, because otherwise it is a nice truck.
I called Ram, left a message. Someone named Heather left me a return message the next day. I returned her call, left message, and never heard back, that was a week ago.
If anyone from Ram reads this, my case is 78102210.

Wish I would have taken a few photos. Per a previous post about vent baffel boxes on here. I made made two with mdf, killmat, mlv, poly fill, and attached them over the cab vents. Didn't stop the door close "rattle" but brought down my db overall. Chances are I'll pull out my rear seats for any number of projects. I'll snap more pictures at that point.

What I'll say is if you're sound proofing this was one of the big wins in terms of cab noise reduction. Even if they still flap, "rattle", when I shut the rear doors haha.

It occurs at lower speeds. (below 40mph) It's a very noticeable intermittent 'booming' sound coming from what sounds like behind/under the rear seat and seems to be related to the rear suspension movement. I have a 2020 Limited and have ruled out the following: -ANC -MDS -Air suspension...

So far the pool noodle has cut it by about 50%, I'm guessing mostly from the pressure pushing on the back wall to reduce the 'drumming' sound caused by the fluttering vent flaps.
Tonight I'm going to stick as much 80mil sound deadener as I can on the back wall and see if the combination of the pool noodle and sound mat make it tolerable.
Whatever you do don't block the vents. They are critical for door closing, efficient HVAC operations, and air bag deployment.

I tried covering the vents with foam, really didn't solve the problem. Really needs redesigned vents that allow air movement without sounding like a window is open!

I have spoken to Ram customer service, although they certainly tried to be helpful, there is nothing they can do. If you redesign the vent soon, let me know. Wish I kept my 2015!

You may have the noise and just not notice it. You'll only notice it if you drive in complete silence (no radio) with the windows up. I personally like to drive this way a lot.
And it occurs mostly at speeds below 45mph.
I trust myself more than a dealer with this particular issue. In fact I isolated the cause yesterday.
If a pool noodle fixes it, I will be satisfied and forget about it. It's an engineering issue caused by the venting and a thin rear cab wall. A dealer is not going to fix

It is a reality that is there not OC. Drove a couple different limiteds before bought mine. They were just fine, mine has the booming, sounds like subwoofer when driving under 45mph.

I've owned more quality vehicles in my life then you've been alive. for gods sake these are TRUCKS and i think a lot of these petty posts are non ram owners but trolls trying to stir up trouble. yes your going to hear some noises its a body on frame truck not a rolls.
