Rear Fog Lamps

guys, if you want to have the amber rear fog lights symbol (showing on the lefthand side of the center screen) you need to change the country code from USA to something different in the bcm via alfa obd. For example: Canada
Changed country code to Canada "and just like that" I got the icon. Thanks, again.

@brental1 great news, I have to ask: did you notice any other side effects?
Just did. This morning, I discovered I have DRL. And, I guess because the headlights are on, the cluster (panel lamps?) lighting goes to night mode. Can override the panel lighting with the turn wheel in the brightest click.

I don't know how to turn DRL off; or if it can even be done.. There are several options.

Do you have a Tazer? I believe you can adjust the DRL settings with that.
I have Alfa OBD. Screenshot in above post.
I set
CBC Features -DRL Configuration to No DRL, and
CBC Features-DRL Lamp Location to None

and I still have Headlights on and Panel lamps in Night mode.

Just noticed I also have DTL (I think it's called; Tail Lights)

I don't think so. According to Jimmy07, starting in 21, Canada required headlights and taillights constantly on (well, when truck is running). In my thinking, it's like that's hard coded in when Country Code is set to Canada. Can't be changed. (possibly cound be changed on 19 and 20 truckss) I'm going to try another country that allows rear fog; but doesn't require DRL and DTL.

Set it back to USA for now.
Have many Country Code options; and hundreds of Destination options.

@Jimmy07 as a resident expert, to see if there may be any workaround for this.
Gonna have to decide what you want more- to see the rear fog indicator in the cluster and have always on headlamps/tail lamps, or forget about the fog indicator so you can have lights work the way you want.
You start changing country codes, and it’s going to start affecting other configurations of the truck adversely.
All I gotta say is, if you’re gonna start messing with country codes, make sure you make a backup file and system ID log BEFORE you start changing country codes.

Good advice. Thanks.
