I drive to costco and back on saturdays.
Then you dont belong in a truck let alone wanting to level/lift it. a SUV would suit you just fine. Your ego as a man is killing you. Spacers are garbage period. You can afford a 50-60k+ truck, you can afford the "budget" strut leveling kit.

Wouldn't the added length from the spacers be equivalent to the added length of the bilstein? I guess obviously without the full travel capability. Or am I missing something about the angle on other components?
no. all it does is pushes everything down to achieve that "lifted" look. your shocks are now your bump stops.

Forums are often filled with enthusiasts who have how shall we say strong opinions 🙂
well some of us are here to give out free information that is otherwise learned by paying a hefty tuition through broken truck, broken parts, premature wear, etc.
at least i'm here to offer that. too many times i see people with broken truck or premature wears on stuff and i'm like... "i told ya so"

This right here.
"I put hockey pucks on my suspension to level it b.c i wanted to look cool, put bigger tires, but wanted to be a cheap ahh and save money and now im having issues with _________, please help"
You leveled/lifted your truck the cheapest way possible and your surprised? Who would have thought. Makes no sense to me.

Absolutely, I didn't mean it in a negative way, I think your contributions are some of the best I've seen when it comes to actual suspension modifications here.

Just trying to take a little bit of the edge off the OP on why some of the opinions are as strong or negative towards his question.

oh no i get it hahaha

i mean, we all gotta start somewhere! hell my first lift kit in my life was Bilstein 5100s before i started turning wrenches. i did my research beforehand and although I wanted Kings I was too broke to afford them until I blew the Bilsteins
part of me wanted to get spacers and call it a day, but my friends (who are not in the truck scene and don't offroad but they're in the JDM show scene for 20+ years... these are the guys with legit Varis GTR, Evo 8, RE雨宮RX7, etc and worked with SuperStreet, Toyo, and judged various shows) were being so negative about it (calling it poverty spec and even "do not ever bring that out if you do spacers. we don't hang with the people who run fake things") that it actually steered me into the correct direction. to this day, i still appreciate they did what they did so 1. i didn't waste my money and 2. i didn't fu*k up my rig by doing mickey mouse things.

tough love works, i guess lol
