@Diamondback 105mm Howitzer air burst probably about 100 meters away, I still have the piece of shrapnel that ripped my rain jacket and lodged itself into the side of the truck
2019 Rebel is right about the 105, the air burst is a crowd pleaser! Before I retired from the Air Force a 105mm Howitzer and a 40mm Bufors as a backup was my EDC (AC-130). Now days I’ve downscaled to a safe full of 9’s, 45’s, 5.56, 7.62’s, and a several other odd and ends. I’m not brand loyal so I’ve got a bit of everything; CZ, Stoeger, Ruger, Springfield, Browning, Remington, S&W, FN, and others. But lately had an itch for a BMG or M82...

I still want to get a 7.62 myself but everytime I hit the base up, they disappear LOL

These are the two I'm taking with me tomorrow! Of course the AR, and the other is my Ruger 10/22. It came with the synthetic stock that felt so cheap and plasticy. My brother found the laminate stock for me at Stocky's Stocks - but he ordered the one for a bull barrel, so I went ahead and got a bull barrel! For a little .22LR, it feels solid and has a good weight to it. The stock grip is super comfortable.

I know, I'm a weird girl lol. Is it the shape or the color that's weird? It is available in more traditional finishes. My deer rifle is a little more "normal". Ruger M77 in .270 Win.

The SciFi shape .. not saying I don't like it .. just saying it is a weird shape - I have played around with BullPups before, but .. does that thing go "pew pew pew" when you pull the trigger? :)

It does take the Mean-lookingness from it so people on the street who complain about "ASSAULT RIFLES" -- no we won't get into that debate on here -- would allow you to carry that around LOL .. but it's pretty looking, it can't hurt anyone. I actually thought about making a Purple Camo "AR" just so it doesn't look menacing :) -- or Hot Pink Camo just to upset people HAHAHAHA

How do you like that scope of yours? Do you ever really "need" the gizmos and gadgets on there? I don't mean to sound snarky or rude, but I've always done my adjustment math on paper on I've been highly considering a new toy line the x-sights, but I just don't know how useful or user friendly that kinda stuff would be. By "need" I meant does it ever make you're job a lot easier? Is it something that now that you've used it you couldn't go back to not having it?
Need is certainly a relative word. For example this particular rifle is primarily used as a hog gun (its caliber is large enough for bear or any other large game animal in north america). The ATN x sight is needed more because of its night vision capabilities. In the day light it also has useful features that some people may or may not use. I think with these types of high technology scopes the key is that they offer a ton of features, ergo you have the ability to use the ones you need and ignore those you don't. The down side is that like anything with lots of features you have to take the time required to learn.

Used to live in Gonzales and Prairieville when I was a teen and my neighbor always made Jambolia from Wild Boar .. he used to hunt on a little "island" was was created where the river split .. that was some good tastin' meat! .. also used "spoonbill" that call it something different up here.
Never got to go out when stationed at Barskdale -- we did enjoy what the city had to offer there :)
I thought about getting that "scope" for my 6.5 Creedmore as well.

No pics but I have a few AR's that I've built.

16" mid-length on a spikes lower receiver
20" A2 style built on an Anderson lower
10.5" pistol on an Anderson lower

Also have a a couple pistols and a few older guns I've aquired with my C&R license. Keep a Polish P64 in my car. It's cheap so if it gets stolen it's no big deal

It was so hot out yesterday, but had a lot of fun! Quick run down:

-Started out grouping really well with the AR at 50 then 100 yards, after some minor zeroing on my red dot. After a while my shoulder was getting sore, I started pulling right. That's pretty much time to shut it down, when you're hurting and anticipating the recoil. (Got a nice bruise going on lol.) Pistol range cleared out a bit, so we took our turn there.
-First time I ever got to shoot a .50 Desert Eagle. His is the bronze finish, probably the most beautiful and most well crafted gun I've ever seen. My wrist is actually a bit sore today. I'll want to try that again, now that I know what to expect I might actually be able to hit something! I did bring out my SR9, ran two boxes through it as well. I'm a darn good shot with this one!
-Back on the rifle side after a break in the AC, I ran about 200 rounds through the space rifle 22. Come to find out many of the boxes of 22LR I bought during the apparent shortage recently are subsonics, which does not play nice on a 22 semiauto. Had to clear a few jams. That one definitely runs smoother on mini-mags.

I've never had wild boar. Wouldn't have ever thought about using it in a jambalaya.

I love that shadow. The version with the blue grips in on my short list of bucket list guns. How's it shoot?

HAHAHAH!!
When I used to wear glasses (well we always wear safety glasses but), I've had rounds get stuck against my skin .. just gotta keep on keepin' on .. LOL
