Ram Limited Dash issue

Have they changed the dash in the 25 model year to stop this from happening? I’m just wondering if I’m going to have to deal with this a few years down the line after my 25 is delivered. Also, is this a universal problem, meaning does everyone with a ram leather dash ultimately have this problem, or is it just bad luck for the unlucky few?
This seems to be a question that comes up with every new model year. No one has been able to confirm any effective changes have been made to the dash since the 2019's first came out. Only time will tell if your dash is affected.

I spoke with an exceptionally well-rated expert auto upholsterer here in Florida yesterday about this. My hope was that I could get this repaired permanently rather than fret future value of my 2021 Limited.

She confirmed that repairing/replacing the leather is no easy task, and expensive. She added that they don't do dash work because of this. The windshield typically has to come out, which adds cost to get the camera recalibrated, and the labor, skills, etc. make it not worthwhile for them. She hasn't heard of this issue lately with RAMs but she hears it all the time from BMW, Jaguar, and other luxury vehicles with leather dashes. She suggested trying a place that does car restorations. To me, that sounds like even more cost.

This truck is awesome, but faced with a receding leather dash and the just-now-emerging bubbling of my hood paint, it's time to trade it in for something else rather than see its value decrease considerably.

19 ram limited doing this. It is also starting to pull up in the compound curve on the passenger side which could affect the airbag deployment on that side. It is interesting how different companies handle this. Back in 2012 we had a 03 4runner and toyota recalled the dash because it was getting sticky and they were concerned about the airbag deployment and customer satisfaction and did a full dash replacement on a 10 year old 4runner under recall without customers having to go through a program like cares.

With airbags involved the leather delamination become a safety concern-- The leather is an indeterminate state and there is no way without testing various dashes in different states how the airbag deployment would be affected or if the leather could become a projectile in deployment now that the glue has failed. IMO anyone with delamination should do a NTHSA report noting your concern on safety not the cosmetics... if there is enough noise NTHSA could force a full proper recall or elevated warranty process.

I would tint the windows and use a sunscreen in the front window while parked. Anything to keep the direct sun off could help. I found a vehicle specific shade on Amazon that fits perfectly. It greatly reduces he heat on the inside.

That won't help the delamination issue...unfortunately.
