Does anyone know when you would need to order by to get a 2019 model before 2020 production begins?
Ordered my 2019 Longhorn today. Dealer said 2020 orders are rumored to open in July. True or not, who knows. All I know is that orders for 2019s were still open as of today.
Here’s the build:
2019 Longhorn 4x4 5’7” bed
Maximum steel exterior
Black/New saddle interior
5.7 Hemi
3.92
eLocker
33gal tank
Air suspension
Brake controller
Level 1
Advanced safety group
Deployable bed step
I have been trying to order this combination since December and have heard various explanations on why the combination is on restriction. In the end the story that made the most sense was that it was an MPG issue with combined weight of the Etorque, ORG, and (potential) RAMBox. You can get the combination if you are willing to go with the 6.4 bed, but not the 5.7 with Etorque. Apparently they decided not to update their interface to restrict the combination /when/ there is RAMBox and just disabled the pairing on /all/ trims with a 5.7 bed.I was told that the Etorque engine and Off-road package was unavailable on the Longhorn if I placed an order and has been unavailable for some time. Anyone else heard anything similar or know exactly why (recalls, lack of parts, etc)?
For me it seems I get a combination of all the factory rebates until the truck arrives. But Military Auto Sales is a bit different because it's overseas. I will end up paying more for my truck than if I was back in the states but I got another couple years left and am tired of being out of a truck.
