This is a game changer for waiting on ordering a 2021:

"Uconnect 5 will be rolled out in the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica this fall. The redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV and Ram 1500 pickup truck will be the next vehicles to get it, said Nick Cappa, communications manager for FCA."

There is and will always be updated systems making the previous out dated. Nature of electronics. On top of that, with the whole virus thing, that is going to get pushed back.

Sounds like it will be available in the 2022 Rams from that comment not 2021's as they will be available well before fall.

Is this a good deal?
2019 ram 2500 big horn 4x4 6x4

MSRP 54,785

Purchase price 44,000

Interest rate 3.9%

Trade in Toyota Tacoma 2017 sr5 6foot bed 40,000 miles and 2 accidents on Carfax. Kbb fair value is 23,000-24,000. The dealership will give me 23000. Tires are also shot and haven't replaced brakes and rotors yet.

Not sure if I have more room to go or this is a good deal.

I have never purchased a new truck before, I have read many pages in this thread. I keep reading about better rebates/incentives. What would those be?

I am in Ontario, Canada and ram is currently offering 25% off msrp for 2019 classics and 3.49 financing.

Does anybody know if the incentives are US and Canadian?

Look online. They differ by region. Also check out demo models to save some cash.

Scroll down under "Cost", regions are different in US so I am sure US and Canada would differ. The incentives change monthly.

So I've been stalking this forum since March to try and get the best idea for a good deal on a Ram 1500. A little back story, due to personal/life issues I was forced to trade in a 2019 Ford Mustang because of insufficient seating. Well I didn't want just another boring car or SUV, so I settled on a truck for capability and planning ahead. Beginning in March, I started searching, initially checking out the 5th gen Ram's. Thinking the incentives would increase due to Covid, I passed up the deals of March (I was wrong lol). Fast forward to May, and being under a time constraint, I'm getting desperate to find the best deal.

I checked out Ford F150's, but they were just too outdated and expensive for the options provided. Silverado 1500s were somewhat of a good deal down here in South Florida, but the dealer left a bad taste in my mouth for not disclosing their "mandatory" dealer installed options on "demo" vehicles they advertised as brand new. (Sorry I have an issue paying someone $400 for window tint that isn't darkness/quality I would have done).

I had another issue with Ram dealer here in South Florida that advertised the 2019 Ram Express for a clearance price of $19k off (including $10k in incentives), then tell me they couldn't sell the truck for the advertised price. Repeatedly insisting that I didn't qualify for the all rebates, but they listed the incentives provided by RAM of which everyone was qualified.

So I drove to Central Florida after seeing a used 2019 1500 Big Horn 4x4 with only 20k miles. MSRP on it new was $57k. After sitting on the lot since 2/2020 it was discounted from $38,9 to $31,9. Technically sell price was $33,6 after the "reconditioning fee" aka full dealer profit. I negotiated an "extra" $1k on my trade and $500 discount to help absorb that ridiculous fee. I attached the window sticker.

Thoughts? I thought it was a pretty good deal.

It looks good to me. I think it It sat because of the cloth bench seats. I have them and love them, prefer 6 passenger and leg room to the console. My dealer had a very similarly equipped Bighorn on the showroom floor that he was trying to push on me but it was not the color I wanted. I think bucket and leather is the preferred package today.

Best of luck with your nicely equipped Bighorn, 20K is nothing but a nice break in.

Wow you treat your cars poorly lol. It’s a good deal just based on the piece you’re trading in.

When you order your truck and you get the off road group. They know to add the e locker right? The e locker is not on build sheet but I got the off road group which is on the build sheet

I'm in Southern California and I've got two deals:
NEW 2020 Laramie 4x2
MSRP: $53k
Selling price including rebates: $43k

CPO 2019 Limited 4x4 with 34k miles
MSRP: $68K
Selling price: $43k (haven't done any negotiation yet)

Selling prices are the same. Which one is a better deal? I really like the features on the limited but haven't bought any Ram CPO before so not sure if I should be worried about warranty.

Thanks!

You can always buy a Chrysler Maxcare Warranty since you’re still within factory warranty by 2k miles and go up to 7yr unlimited miles. If you use the code you get around $365 off by paying in full or you can divide it up into 12mo. Get your dealer to match or just buy it from the site (Ziegler Ram). So I would get the warranty regardless of which truck you go with.

FWIW: 4x4 has better resale and the CPO has already taken the initial depreciation hit. Limited is much more loaded than the Laramie and only $10k off on the Laramie new isn’t good enough at about 18.8% off MSRP.
