Price negotiated from MSRP

New here. I'm about to order a RAM 1500 Laramie so this thread is of great interest to me. I've compiled several deals reported here and from other sources into a spreadsheet to try to find an average percentage off MRSP.

These deals are as reported very recently, they cover 2020/21 RAM 1500 models only and, except for the ones offered by dealers, I can't confirm their accuracy. Incentives reported were included in the Deal Price.

So, this should not be construed as fully accurate, but hopefully it gives a general idea:

I'm also new but long time lurker. Looking to order a 2021 Limited and so far have the following offers:

Brandon Dodge in Denver
MSRP - 72975
INVOICE - 66943
SALE PRICE - 62675 + incentives that are available on delivery

Dennis Dillon Ram in Idaho
MSRP - 72975
INVOICE - 66943
SALE PRICE - 63304 + incentives on delivery.

Currently waiting to see if they'll best Brandon Dodge. Also 100 mile drive to Denver, and 900 miles to Dennis Dillon. SO FAR the experience with both dealerships has been great.

I am looking for a 2021 limited in NJ. Any recommended dealers to work within NJ? I have contacted a few and seems the lowest dealer discount they want to offer is 10% before rebates/incentives. The 2020's are starting to dry up and even if I found one it seems that dealer discounts were removed when employee pricing kicked in.

I know I can purchase out of state from dealers a few hours away but due to covid I want to avoid out of state travel not to mention the hassle of DMV right now out of state.

In response to this, mine was a new Limited order - (Though it's the same discount no matter which 1500 you order 7% off invoice with tread lightly from Lakeland - currently the cheapest place to order in the country)
Also, it should be over 14.59% discount - as that $10,452 is before rebates/incentives.
Making it one of the biggest, if not biggest dealer discounts pre rebates/incentives.

So the chart above is a bit misleading, as Rong with a 17% discount only received $9k dealer discount. (Less than 14%)

Also
RRRAAAAMMMM2020
... his is in Canadian dollars, not USD.

Also you're not factoring in, are they 2020? 2021?
Too many factors missing/broad in the chart above to be a good indicator of average percentage off of MSRP.
Though I appreciate the effort.
I pointed out that these are deals on both 2020 and 2021's as they're both currently in play. They're mostly 2021's. Obviously, you're probably going to get a better deal on 2020's.

Whether in Canadian dollars or US, the % off MRSP will be the same.

Again, as I clearly mentioned, this was never meant to be 100% accurate, but simply to show a general trend and to compile what was reported. Use it only as you see fit.

So what exactly is the $$ value of Employee Pricing? Is it a flat rate % of the MSRP? Is it Invoice +/- a discount? I'm trying to figure out what the employee pricing should be for a '20 Limited with an MSRP of $70,915 including freight. And what is the Conquest Bonus? I HAD a '19 Laramie that I sold due to an overwhelming number of problems, but want to seriously buy another (I'm a glutton for punishment :) Anyways, the only other car I currently own is a Chrysler Pacifica. Would I be eligible for the $1,000 Conquest Rebate?

Do you lose a lot of leverage ordering a truck with a dealer with the options you want? Anyone had good success negotiating on custom orders? Honestly all I really care about is ecodiesel + panoroof + 12" screen + trailer but it is hard to find that locally for me in the bay arae

Just completed my order for a new build. Mark Dodge was easy to deal with and process was fast. Let me know if you want a contact there and I can pass along.

This is a great location for those in the south that are a little too far for it to makes sense ordering from Koons.
Contact please...

"7% off invoice with tread lightly from Lakeland." Not sure what you're saying here. Be careful with Lakeland or something else. If you are recommending Lakeland, can you share your contact with me?

LOL! Sorry.

Treat lightly is a program that's working with FCA, it's $100 to join and gives you 1% off orders (bringing the total discount to 7%)
Yes, I highly recommend Lakeland. That's where I ordered my truck from.

PMed you the contact.

Ordering exactly the truck I wanted not only got me the exact truck I wanted, but the best discount too.
I highly recommend it.

If you're in the South East, I highly recommend Lakeland ram.
If you're up in the North East, I highly recommend Koons Ram.

Thanks! How are their fees?

That is a joke.

Sign up with a savings account with Pentagon Federal CU and after 60 days you can get a certificate for $1000 off. By then rebates on 2021 should be decent, too.

You should be looking for at least 10% off dealer discount (12 to 14% is doable with the right dealer), plus rebates, on a Laramie.

I disagree. At this point, go back and read the last 9 months of this thread, there is NO REASON to believe rebates are going to be any more substantial in 2021 than now. Covid will still be going on well into 2021 and the affects and effects of it till Q2 2021 at best. RAM/FCA isn't really having an issue selling trucks now and until lots start becoming clogged with them, nothing changes. Supply chains are still not running at 100% and RAM assembly lines can only run as fast as parts can be delivered.

Bottom line, at this point, those of us that frequent this thread, have been both saying and waiting for "better rebates" since April 2020 and seeing reduced rebates with each passing month with the exception of the Bighorns.

To put it a different way, I own an IT business and a customer asked me what I thought a good Black Friday price would be for some laptops. I told them most if not all laptops ordered today are looking at late February to March shipping dates vs the normal 2-3 days from order date it was in March/April and earlier.
Why does DELL, HP or anyone else need to offer Black Friday deals on equipment they don't have and/or cant deliver for 60- 90 days? They already have more sales than they can fulfill now so why have a "sale"?
I don't see big rebates back until Q2 or 3 of 2021

Anyone getting good deals in Northern Virginia? I'm scoping out a 2020 Limited that pretty much has everything I want. MSRP is $71k. TrueCar is showing $64k. I'm thinking they aren't factoring in the Employee Pricing that's in effect. Anyone been able to score anything at/over 15% off in this area?

I got a very nicely equipped Laramie at the end of September for almost 20% off msrp from Dulles. Excellent transaction all the way around.

I'm with this guy.
They'll probably not get any better, if anything worse.

Maybe on the 2020 they're trying to clear out, but I don't see them getting much better on 2021.

How is this for a deal?

2020 Limited
MSRP: $70,915
Negotiated Price: $58,400 (approx. 17.6% discount)
+ Virginia Tax, Tags, and $899 dealer processing fee.
OTD: $61,979

Major options:
Black Crystal Pearl with Night Edition package
Limited Level 1
Bed Utility
Standard V8 (not eTorque)
Dual-pane Sunroof
Multi-Function Tailgate
Trailer Brake Control, 3.92 Rear Axle, Anti-Spin Differential

Truck has pretty much everything I want except for maybe a larger gas tank than the standard 23 gallon tank just so I don't have live at the gas pump :)

Question: How's the ride on the 22's? I've been negotiating through text and phone. I have to still take a final test drive. Anything I should be aware/concerned about? I previously owned a '19 Laramie that had the 20" wheels on them with the Duelers and air-suspension. I had all sorts of issues with ride quality, and they replaced the tires once and constantly had to rebalance them. Will the ride be any better or worse with the 22's and have they resolved most of the issues with the tires/balance, etc.?

1st, I'd take that and run, Truck Month was 24-25% off so you're as close to that as you're going to get.

How do the 22"s ride, The Limiteds air ride is glass smooth with 22 unless you're driving on some crap roads.
The 33 gallon tank isn't an issue or deal breaker to me, I get 420-430 miles per tank with a mix of 80/20 city highway

Just got off the phone with a dealer on a used 2020 BTS bighorn with 17k miles on it. I about burst out laughing when he told me the price. If people are really paying these prices for used trucks, Im about to start up a dealership. Funny thing is, I looked at this truck new pre covid and they got me otd at just under 42. I gambled covid and passed on it. The search continues...

MSRP when new: 52,250
Dealer used price: 48,999
discount: 800
Fee: 299
out the door: 48,500
for a used 2020 with 17k miles.

Peel Chrysler in Ontario. I think I was fortunate and called on Nov 2 for month end at a Large volume dealer, offered a price I was willing to accept and got it done.

Yep, I was trying to deal with a dealer in Idaho on a 2020 Rebel, and saw a 2021 BTS that just landed with a MSRP a few thousand less than the Rebel. Since the Rebel wasn't the price I was hoping for I asked about the "big horn" over there and they said they would discount it less than a Rebel because it is "limited edition"....ya nope. It's a Big Horn.
