Price negotiated from MSRP

Could we see your son's entire Build with options?
I'm sure he didn't get the 3.0L Diesel. That's a $5K option.

My 2021 Laramie Came to $71,155 MSRP
I pretty much got every Option but the Pano Roof, Tailgate, or RamBoxes.
I did it this way because of the way Tags are charged each year as a
Percentage of the Base Vehicle price. If I got the Limited, the Base Price
would have been about $20K higher.

Thanks,
Malodave
Malodave,

Where did you end up getting your truck (or did you order it)? I've a little south of you in MA, but have struggled finding much inventory up here that matches the specs I'm looking for...

Just a general question. Historically, off any other Japanese or German vehicle, I would have been happy with pricing around invoice. Judging by this thread however, it seems that a lot of you are near 15-20% off MSRP. With that being said, is a 69k build for a '21 Limited Ram realistically achievable for around $54k prior to TTL? Or am I dreaming? Location: anywhere between SoCal and WA. Willing to travel. Appreciate the input in advanced folks!

I think it's possible. Next year around this time. Or maybe before then if you negotiated hard during holidays and/or end of the month/quarter.

Kind of the same question as 2 posts up, if I am looking at ordering a 65k truck (Build is here) in a month or two. Can I expect wiggle room off that MSRP? Should I walk away from a dealership that says it is what it is quoted for an ordered truck? I know it is not the best time to look for discounts but I want to order one exactly how I want it configured instead of one of the on the lot ones so even then I would not know what to expect. I have never custom ordered one before, the last 2 have been off of the lot.

If you're able/willing to do a fly-and-drive, you can get 6% off of invoice (or 6.5% if you qualify for Affiliates Rewards) on a factory order through Koons in northern Virginia.

Or 7% from Lakeland Ram - and visit Disney while you're there in FL

Koons does 6% off invoice in VA
And Lakeland does 7% off invoice in Florida.

Which is 14-15% off MSRP.
Plus rebates and incentives on top of that.

Def walk.

Thank you, I doubt I would want to fly and drive and from what I see, I was going to pay cash after trade in but maybe I will finance 30k or something depending on pre payment fees and interest then pay it off if that is what I need to get some wiggle room. If they are doing it there I should be able to get something here in the Northeast. If I know it is at least possible then I will not settle for no discount, many dealers in the area, I will just have to play them against each other.

As I understand it, Lakeland requires a $100 Tread Lightly membership.

It does for that additional 1% (otherwise it's 6%) but that 1% took a few hundred off for me so it was worth it.

That same set of price parameters is what we saw in June of 2019. MSRP high 60’s, sale prices low to medium 50’s. Not saying that it will occur again but once the Covid crap settles, when the automakers are cranking out units, they will want to sell their stocks again.

The world is permanently different though. With all the $$$ the Fed printed, inflation is here and here to stay. I personally don't think we'll see 25% discount for MY '20 or '21.

I think we may have secured a deal from Tempe Ram. They have a Big Horn currently on their lot for a whopping 23.55% below MSRP. I asked someone in sales to match that on a custom built '21 Ram Limited. He agreed. I usually take deals that are too good to be true with a grain of salt, and so I have my doubts...but who the heck knows. To be finalized on Tuesday after they get a chance to run my credit and write down numbers officially. Crossing my fingers. KILLER DEAL IF SO.

I suggest you seek your own credit union for financing - at least give them a chance to compete. You save money either way.

Got a build sheet on the limited? Wish i could have got that good a deal.

By the way your built price is $67k. It automatically calculate rebates.

Yeah, all the Limiteds in their inventory are '21 and are discounted around 9K-10K (14% or so). If you do a little negotiating, you may be able to hit your expectations.

Why would you let them run your credit before you have "official" agreed on numbers.
Soon after they're going to find out you're not eligible for all the rebates to get it to that price.

Those are good prices! Had i saw that before mine I would have jumped on one of those limiteds... could have got a year newer for only another 3k.

I’m close on a deal on a 2020 Laramie. Msrp is 60k. After discounts I’m at 47k. Plus tags $325 doc. Fee $899 then destination 1,695. Then my sales tax on top of that. Is it common to have destination fee added even though they are included in msrp? A couple dealers quoted me without it that’s why I’m curious. It seems like a fair deal in this market from what I’ve come across
