47K would be the minimum price I'd settle for.

That's one reason why I'll never put a deposit down. Not because I intend to look for a better deal along the way, but just so I feel more confident that the dealer I'm ordering from is giving me their best price. Because I do think that getting them to change their price after the deposit is made would be rare. For dealers than want deposits, I simply argue that whatever I order...you could simply sell on your lot, and you know it. You have an allocation for buying Limited trucks for your dealer stock for example, and ordering one for me is a method of getting another one on your lot if I were to walk away from the deal. So it's a win/win for the dealer weather you take it or not. I'm trusting they are doing everything they've promised me, and they are trusting I'll take delivery of the truck I ordered...so there's not need for a deposit unless someone doesn't trust someone; and that's not how I want things to go down. I've yet to have a dealer not accept those terms.

I was able to re-negotiate with my dealer. I was straight up and told them that while waiting for the truck, otherdealerships kept calling with better offers. I forwarded them one of the quotes and after some discussion, they agreed to lower the price. I ended close to your deal, however the only difference was there was not as much rebates in the mid-atlantic region. I felt pretty happy after they adjusted the price.

Just took delivery today and it took a second trip to get it done, but I think I did OK. They also gave me $2000 more on my trade than any other dealer, so that was a factor.

Dealer Price $45000
Dealer fee $799
Taxes $1755 Virginia

If you are a Penfed member and use Truecar through their site, you get a $1000 rebate certificate. You don’t have to use the Truecar pricing or Penfed for financing.

USAA and a couple others also give the $1,000 rebate but you can't get the $500 millitary rebate in conjunction with it which is kinda BS since Truecar is getting a flat fee profit from the dealerships they are partnered with. The days of 31-32% off MSRP are appearing to be gone...

I got my truck in December of 2018. I know a lot of guys in the car business and I’m in the business too so I definitely took advantage of negotiating on my end, in Utah.

Big Horn - Pretty much fully loaded.

MSRP - 55,245

Absolutely it does. since the MSRP on the trucks are very similar. On the quote I received for the 4x2 below are the options
Black appearance package
advanced safety group
level 2 equipment
12 in uconnect
power running boards
limited slip diff
moonroof

So the truck is loaded!! off course the limited has all the options above minus the black appearance and moonroof but its a limited so I will be walking out right at MSRP with TTL....its a hard decision!!

If the features are the same on both trucks, I'd say get the Limited. It's got a nicer interior IMO, and should have a slightly higher resale value, if that matters to you.

resale not so much, but the I am biased towards the black appearance package because I don't like Chrome......but the limited has body color bumpers!!

Black appearance is worth it to me! All black interior and headliner is where its at! Limited has the western paisley stitches inside which turned me off. Also, way too much chrome.

"‘It’s the wild colour scheme that freaks me out,’ said Zaphod, whose love affair with the ship had lasted almost three minutes into the flight. 'Every time you try and operate these weird black controls that are labeled in black on a black background, a little black light lights up in black to let you know you’ve done it.’"
