You must drive like a Grandma to get that mileage.....

Either that or he lives in Florida where a freeway overpass is considered a mountain. No up and downs just flat land.

I live in FL and the best I can get is 16.6, but I do have a heavy foot. The 16.6 was an attempt to see what I could get at only doing 65-70 based on the speed limit that I rarely follow;)

Man mine gets great milage compared to my last Dodge. This one gets a whopping 13.5 mpg. It has a 5.7l motor, 3.92 rears, 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires. I did not expect a gas sipper.

My last one was a 1977 military surplus W200. It has a 318ci motor, Dana 60 front and rear of an unknown ratio, full time 4x4 (yes, it had 4 high and 4 low), 3 inch lift and 33 inch tires, 3 speed automatic. It was a beast that would not stop (well, except for two mud holes that would just eat a 5th gen). That netted around 8 mpg.

You’re going 85 and getting 19.3??? Sorry, don’t buy it.
No l, I said I mostly went 85. Sometimes I had to go other speeds too. Did some city driving. 45, 55, etc etc. that’s why I said I averaged 19.3. Instant mpg at 85 mph varied between 17 and 20 depending on the road and the wind.

I was headed for 22 mpg avg before I hit the interstate.

City driving 45 55, I can't do that on the expressway/highway. Jealousy rears it's ugly head.

Keep in mind I do have a tonneau cover, 3.21 gears, really light road tires, and a charcoal filter delete. I think all these things help my mpg. I’m sure that will change once I get ATs, but I’m happy with the fuel mileage thus far for a 5.7L

Guys, it’s a truck. What do you expect it to get? It’s big hunk of block steel that is not the least bit aerodynamic lol.
Your Ram these days are still getting better gas mileage than 10,20 years sgo
Agreed. Refer to my post a couple back. This thing is a gas sipper!

Drive conservative and get decent MPG, drive aggressively and you’ll pay at the pump. It’s an individual choice and can change from day to day. Either way it’s your truck, enjoy it.

I drive my ram like a grandma compared to the way I drove my gmc and I still get 4 mpg less on the Ram. I went thru 3 sets of tires in 45,000 miles on my gmc and still averaged 16.6 around town and 21 on the interstate just wish it could compare to the other brands

Very first tank on my new 2021 crew cab, 4x4, Big Horn, 5.7 etorque, got 17.8 mpg on mixed highway/city travel. I'm pretty happy with that.

I opted to keep the stock 3.21 gears, and so far think that is helping.

I was previously driving a 2014 Silverado, crew cab, 4x4, 5.3L V8 and was mostly in the 14-15mpg range. That truck only had the 6 speed transmission, and with 3.43 gears, it was a pig. My new Ram, with the 8speed and only 3.21s breaks the tires loose way easier!

Big picture, I keep the real time mpg gauge front and center in my gauge cluster. Being able to directly see how your driving habits affect your fuel efficiency makes a big difference how I drive.

Is everyone actually calculating their MPG when they fill up or are they going by what the computer is telling them? When I calculate mine and compare it to the computer I find that my MPG is worse than what the Rebel is telling me.

I hand calculate my MPG. It's usually around .5 MPG off the computer. My last tank was right on though. The best mileage I've gotten so far, 19.7 mpg.
