What is your truck? you give no info. Some trucks with trailer steer were recalled for camera issues. There was a software update.Anyone else have a similar issue cause I am as we speak. My rear sensor goes unavailable and screws radio up and shuts off back up camera. Very annoying.
Mine is in that recall, but I will not let them Flash the Truck as I don'tWhat is your truck? you give no info. Some trucks with trailer steer were recalled for camera issues. There was a software update.
Mine is a 21 1500 big horn just called FCA and my truck was not one of them but low and behold my trusty non ram mechanic has the ability to scan this truck and the Trailer Reverse Steering module is bang first to pop up as an issue and the list goes on, with camera, radio, bumper sensor, abs. My truck is two months out of bumper to bumper FCA said have dealer check it and maybe they can escalate it and see if it would be covered. What is your truck? you give no info. I agree, you should contact them. They set parameters, of known issues, and they may need to extend the parameter they set. Good chance it will be covered. Back up camera is now considered a safety issue, and may have a longer warranty mandated.Mine is a 21 1500 big horn just called FCA and my truck was not one of them but low and behold my trusty non ram mechanic has the ability to scan this truck and the Trailer Reverse Steering module is bang first to pop up as an issue and the list goes on, with camera, radio, bumper sensor, abs. Can I also get that picture ([email protected]) My truck is having the same issue 900 miles from home. I put my truck in the shop before this vacation and they said they repinned the little green harness with white plugs under the driver side dash panel. I went 2 weeks with no problems and about 600 miles into my roadtrip it came back on. figured I would try and fix it myself this time. I am based out of Oklahoma City so I can take it to Landers if needed, but I have been using Joe Cooper in Yukon because I really trust my service advisor there.Bryan, did you ever get a
Did it work, same issue and also a 2019 bighorn 58k miles.First post here but chiming in. I did some digging on this issue as mine was doing the same thing. Random parksense unavailable and more recently I’ve gotten a few “service shifter” messages. Apparently on the Reddit forum an aircraft mechanic pinpointed the issue to the green star/bus connector under the dash behind the headlight switch. He spent almost $2500 trying to fix the shifter cable and a few other things. The connector is between 60-100 bucks depending on where you find it. I got mine from a 3rd party oem online store and actually picked it up from the dealership. My total was I think $67 bucks so I figured it’s at least worth a try. I replaced mine today and will report back with what I find. For reference I have a 2019 bighorn with 56k miles (not sure if that’s relevant).
As of today. I’ve driven a few hundred miles. And since swapping out that part I haven’t had any issues or messages pop up. I would say yes it has fixed it……for now lolDid it work, same issue and also a 2019 bighorn 58k miles.
