This is something like my situation. It's done, it's ready to be shipped and all, but the dealer has no idea when, likely December they said.
It’s so frustrating when no one seems to have a clear answer... but I’m thankful that I’m not having to wait like some of the guys on here who ordered earlier in the year.

Great question. I am very interested to know the status as well, especially since I paid $30 for the tracking fee. Since then, it seems the page gets updated only every few days, if not longer. I would love to see the 1-2x/day updates.

As would I. Unfortunately, with FCA’s position, our level of communication is limited at best and mostly one way. We get what we can, sorry

Where are you getting such detailed tracking?

Hahahaha... I call Ram Care:

(866) 726-4636

Wait through the Auto Message and then say “For Something Else”.

You’ll be connected with a “Ram Care Specialists” and they can track it with your VIN.

Sometimes it is hit or miss w/ - “our system is down”... but, for the most part, they are very nice and helpful. They can even connect you too or call the dealership for you.

- if you get “our system is down”.... just call back in a couple of hours.

- I paid $10 to this site and have been mostly pleased, however, now that my truck is on the move... I really want an update everyday.

Good Luck !!!

Thanks Yeah I havnt seen an update in a few days. I did an chat but not very helpful. Saturday they said it shipped but today said its about to ship. Dealership told me it shipped and was invoiced 9 days ago. Not easy to get my dealership to give me an eta or much info. I ordered 9/12 so long process.

I don't think the dealerships get automatic updates (how easy would that be for Ram) nor, can they predict the ETA of arrival to their lot. However, what "grinds my gears" is the poor customer service given by most salesmen. My Window sticker was available on the 19th and I have still not been contacted by my dealership. The only time they contacted me was when I asked about my VIN. They confirmed it had been issued and my ship date to be the 17th of Nov.... You would think they would give a sh*t, mark it on a calendar, and make a call since we are now 10days over that date.

Anyway... I have had good luck with Ram Care and their updates.

I am confused with your annoyance. They gave you a ship date of the 17th and it shipped on the 17th. FCA did their due diligence and got it ship ready for the train (which they don't control) enroute to your dealer. That transition part is limbo, but I guess everyone needs somebody to blame when there is nothing wrong. Sit back, drink tea, and act surprised when your dealer calls you.

Well I guess you win the douchee award for the day. I know many people, including myself, are frustrated with the lack of updates in general. They even shut down services by people who are trying to help others find information, such as this forum. Acceptance of a poor way of doing things does not make it okay. There's no way anyone in my business would be able to have the ambivalence towards information that this process does.

Anyway happy holidays all. Hopefully everyone's trucks will merrily be on their way soon. Spelling wrong on purpose since I got auto edited out lol

So is Ram Care phone better than the chat with details cause I get the most vague answers from the chat people.

I would say, in my experience, 2 out of 3 calls I have made to Ram Care have been very helpful and informative.

Again hit or miss, but, more hits than misses.

Good Luck !!!

I am not remiss for expecting customer service and care when purchasing. Especially at $50,000 - $60,000 including the $1,650 delivery fee. I have had no initiated contact from the dealership on any aspect or level of this purchase.

In fact, they seemed surprised when I informed them the truck was on its way.

I am impressed with the turnaround on the ordered from FCA, but, disappointed that the dealership is acting like a “turn-key” rather than exemplifing salesmenship and customer service.

Stand Up, Expect More, and Keep Your Tea.

It will sit there until they decide to put it on a truck and drive it to the dealer to be prepped. I think I've seen from a couple days to a couple weeks in the forum. But it's almost their.
