Also I'll say just about any place you go, you can take a peek behind the curtain and think "Oh man, its crazy here." I'd say the same about where I work but it all turns out ok so I take insider info as worth what I paid for it unless that person is a one man shop, knows about a problem with a specific part or is heavily involved with the entire process. I talked to a guy who worked on the railroad and he told me about all these crazy accidents and how dangerous it was, I then talked to one of my best friends who works out of the same yard and he thought that guy was nuts and things were fine.

I appreciate any good intentions if that was the spirit of the post though.
100% agree

Amen to HONDA!!!!!! I just sold a 2001 Honda Civic. My daughter graduated HS in 2016 and I bought her a new 16 Civic. I'm confident with her driving back and forth to college and around her college city.
Ironically, the least reliable car I’ve owned was a Honda Civic Si that I purchased new in 2009. It spent 40 days in the shop it’s first year, and Honda of America had to get involved. Compared to that car; even my ‘80s Z28 was rock-solid!

I'm certainly not going to attempt any defense of FCA here because I consider myself second only to @alacombe at being the most pissed at them on this forum. But, how do we know that your source of info doesn't work hand in hand with the people that sell these outrageously priced extended warranties and gets a little return on these wink-wink insider leaks. Somehow I just have never had any love for snitches and people that play both sides of the fence. Mind you that this is just my way of interpreting your post so don't take it personal.
Honestly I don't really know. I obviously trust my neighbor, he's a good guy and just looking out for me. I don't know his counterpart that works in Detroit personally. I kinda doubt he has any reason other than to just give a friend a heads-up. But I'm just sharing with the forum what was shared with me. When my Ram arrives (hopefully tomorrow) I'll decide whether to buy the warranty depending on how much the dealer wants for it.

Gehhh...The other car to probably never own off of warranty would be a Tesla..ask your friend to clean up the quality issues on every car that Toyota and Honda dont make lol
True. My neighbor has a Model X and it's been in the shop quite a number of times. Nice car...really nice...but for $125K I expect it to have run perfectly.

Well, fingers crossed, they actually start buiding my truck today. According to my last update, today is the scheduled build day.

Over 60 days in D/D1.

I ordered a Lone Star quad cab on May 31. On July 3 it was built, inspected and approved for shipping. As of today there's no ETA to the dealer yet but my window sticker is in the system....now just a matter of waiting for that train.

Ram Customer support and my other contact both confirmed by truck is being built today! Its currently in Trim

What week did they tell you before (I thought it was end of June)? I'm just trying to "pad" when I should expect my build based on the Ram District manager telling me I was tentatively scheduled for the last week in July.

Different ride with Ram, ordered my Limited on 6/15, took almost 3 weeks to get a Vin. Two days after Dealership gives me Vin #, Jeep Garage reports my truck as built, pending inspection.

Yeah after they finally started building the etorque, my build was scheduled for last week in June (6/25). Prior to that it jumped from week of 7/2 to 7/16.

I can only hope, with no e-Torque and no Rambox, I should be ok...
Thats the problem we non e-Torque Rebels are now having. Once the push began to get the e-Torques to the dealers everything seems to have stopped for the non e-Torque orders. They get built then sit in ( I ) status. I'm now over 50 days in this status. Told my dealer I'll give it till the end of July and if I haven't reached KZ status I'm walking and will wait until the end of the year and see if FCA has its ducks in a row.

Pretty much what I was told from my salesman / Ram district manager is that due to engine "availability" that my build wouldn't be until late July...I'm assuming its exactly the fact that E-torques are now taking precedence.
